Our academy keep producing top quality players but they never get a "proper chance I.e a run of games starting in the 1st team". Instead we keep signing rejects from elsewhere.

I know a lot of fans who are becoming totally dislusioned with some of the "weird decisions being made by the suits at our club".

What top quality players have we missed out on?

Guus stated in the pre-match about the reasons of letting Remy and Ramires go mid-season is so RLC and Traore can get more game time. We keep writing posts about the club not willing to give youths a chance and everything so far is proving to be the contrary. Jose might not be one to favor youths but he himself did attest when he returned that the club was looking to the future and wanted more academy products/youths in the first-team. With manager who has said he's willing to give these boys a run, why don't we see how it goes from now till season end at least. Honestly these posts are tiring, no offence.

It's because of the position we find ourselves in (so far the worst Champions defence in the history of the Prem) that this subject will keep cropping up

Yeah i know it is. Every Chelsea manager says the same old thing when it comes to youngsters, i never believe anything they say anymore when it comes to academy players.

I think the better question is ,despite dominating European football at youth level, the players we are producing aren't progressing further.

Yeah I call bs on guus there. On terms of Remy have we not replaced him with Pato? Is he not ahead of traore?

In terms of ramires pretty sure rlc had moved ahead of him anyways. Cesc, Mikel Matic and oscar and the ones ahead of rlc at the moment.

You forget Falcao's out till God knows when. Costa/Pato/Traore, surely there will more minutes for the boy. RLC moved ahead of Ramires is a fine example of a show of faith in youth, the previous manager sure didn't see it so.
