May 9, 201610 yr New to the group and my first thread concerns why we sold so many good players.De Brynne is the obvious candidate as well as Mata,Lukaku,Cech,Cork,Ramirez and Schurrie. And why did we decide to get rid of a brilliant young English left back in Bertrand and then pay well over 20 million for an unknown player i.e.Baba.Find it all very strange and who do you blame?
May 9, 201610 yr I wish I could say that this hasn't been talked/debated about to death but y'know....
May 9, 201610 yr Much of it is covered in this now locked thread. http://www.theshedend.com/topic/28950-who-the-fk-is-emenalo/page-20#entry1173235
May 9, 201610 yr Welcome to the The Shed End ! ......During the course of this expiring season, you will find that there are many different threads on the massive cock-ups that have occurred, caused by the wrong decisions being made by people who are involved in the Ins and Outs of players coming through the doors of Chelsea fc. Basically .......as far as I understand in a nut shell, the board (Roman, the head honcho ! ) decided that the money we use to buy players has to be generated by the money we earn from players being sold. The people at CFC that deal with that are........of course the head coach or manager ( Jose for most of this season), Michael Emanalo and Marina Gravanoskai ( forgive the spelling ) she is the one that signs the cheques up to circa £ 20 million / anything over that has to be signed off by Roman. The young players we let go wanted 1st team football at Chelsea and Jose told them they were not ready yet or they were not good enough. Therefore the young players were shipped out on loan ( as you know we have an Army of loaned out players) and as time went by, some other clubs (Manchester citeh in respect of De Brunne and Southampton in respect of Bertram) saw something in those players that Jose didn't, and consequently they were sold ! Chelsea fc seemed happy at the time we sold em, because they used that money to go and buy Cuadrado, Salah and Baba ! .....what a dumb idea that turned out to be ! The crazy thing is that there are some fans on this forum who actually think Baba could be a good buy ....FFS ! 18 million pounds for a guy who is supposed to be a right back......imo, he is not worth 1 million pounds
May 9, 201610 yr Author Jack Cork is a very good young player and English,he is coming along well at Swansea and might well end up an England international.CFC make critical decisions very early and live to regret it.If we end up buying back Lukaku and Bertrand then Mr Emanalo wants sacking.
May 9, 201610 yr Bertrand is a head scratcher to me, heck I don't know why we didn't keep Filipe Luis. He'd have easily been in our starting line-up this season.
May 9, 201610 yr Mr Emanalo consults with the head coach / manager and acts on their decisions ......he is not the sole person who decides anything. Jose made the big calls on Lukaku etc and he obviously got it wrong...........you can't blame Emanalo for Jose not rating Lukaku, De Brunne and him choosing to pay lip service or totally ignoring most of the youth players, during his two spells at the club. Jack cork is an average player playing in a team that will be in a relegation fight next season. Nothing against him. Moving forward, I would love to see Chelsea give our youth players a chance, next season.
May 9, 201610 yr why did the big bang occur ? is reincarnation real ? does extraterrestrial life exist ? will the Higgs boson particle ever be discovered ? Why does anti matter make up 60% of the known universe yet we cannot detect it ? who the hell decides on the transfer policy and the actual individual transfers in and out of Chelsea FC ?

Hello and welcome.
May 10, 201610 yr why did the big bang occur ? God dropped his bag of crisps. They shattered into billions of pieces and in a process that's far too complicated for me to explain they became the universe. The cheese and onion universe. is reincarnation real ? No. Unless it is. Then yes. does extraterrestrial life exist ? You've seen the royal family, right. will the Higgs boson particle ever be discovered ? Yes. It's like a taxi, just round the corner 5 minutes away. Why does anti matter make up 60% of the known universe yet we cannot detect it ? Because anti matter is made up of those little floaty things in your eye, always just out of view no matter how much you look for them. who the hell decides on the transfer policy and the actual individual transfers in and out of Chelsea FC ? One of those yes/no/maybe pool ball things Answered as best I can.
May 10, 201610 yr Bertrand is a head scratcher to me, heck I don't know why we didn't keep Filipe Luis. He'd have easily been in our starting line-up this season. Lack of playing time for these two that resulted in them leaving was Mourinho deciding to play an ageing CB at RB and a RB at LB.
May 10, 201610 yr luis and de bruyne are the biggest headscratchers knowing their ability. luis was one of, if not the best lb in europe at the time we signed him and then hardly played him. he goes back to spain and is once again is performing brilliantly; meanwhile we have kept ivanovic as a wing back and continued with our rb at lb. de bruyne's ability was well known before he came, then we decided to sell and he makes a huge impact in germany, then returns to england and is city's best player. why? May 10, 201610 yr Lack of playing time for these two that resulted in them leaving was Mourinho deciding to play an ageing CB at RB and a RB at LB. You know what happened that season right ??
May 10, 201610 yr You know what happened that season right ?? Yeah we chose short term success instead of planning for the future once again. Classic Mourinho and Chelsea.
May 10, 201610 yr Lack of playing time for these two that resulted in them leaving was Mourinho deciding to play an ageing CB at RB and a RB at LB. Oh of course but that's my point why wouldn't he play them more often. We did a great double but the players were f**ked by the end of the season. More rotation would have sufficed, also in terms of Luis he could have promised him more playing time cause it was obvious Ivan was starting to fade. Edited May 10, 201610 yr by Bobbywoodhogan
May 10, 201610 yr Author I think Jose just likes ready made players that fit his criteria and work ethic, during his two spells with us I cannot recall a single youth player making it notwithstanding he fronted the best academy in the country.
May 10, 201610 yr does extraterrestrial life exist ? You've seen the royal family, right. Answered as best I can. I read this as The Royle Family. Which probably works just as well.
May 11, 201610 yr Don't want to be a dick, but seriously rubbish name for a thread. When you see the name of the thread, you have no idea what it is about.
