Keep seeing scousers, gooners etc. example https://www.yellowfever.co.nz/categories/english-and-other-british-lower-league-football-discussion/topics Always wanted to ask about your username. Suspected as much but skipped my memories. Yea really some many rival fans everywhere most especially gooners. Argh!
February 8, 201610 yr Gosh, I didn't realise Kiwis used Ma'am.Oh too much foreign books, so I learn foreign things. Liking this interrogation, am I wanted for committing espionage ma'am?
February 8, 201610 yr Oh too much foreign books, so I learn foreign things. Liking this interrogation, am I wanted for committing espionage ma'am? Not at all, dear boy. How could I possibly have suspicious thoughts about someone who adresses me as a Queen!
February 8, 201610 yr Not at all, dear boy. How could I possibly have suspicious thoughts about someone who adresses me as a Queen!Anytime ma'am, anytime. Believe it or not, you have my utmost respect.

February 8, 201610 yr If he joins Manure we should chant 'boring boring Utd' at them when we play them. TOP BANTS Edited February 8, 201610 yr by Zola
February 8, 201610 yr Roman should never hire him again. I am sorry, but the price that we're paying for his performances is just not worth it. One title and one COC in three seasons don't make up for the disastrous image that he built around the club. We need some decency at last. I'd rather have Pellegrini than him again.
February 8, 201610 yr Is the ma'am you are using a (forgive me for this)mam, marm or the american maahhhhhhhm, because each of these pronunciations to me represent different levels of respect. Zola tried turning this back into a Jose thread thought i would bring it back off topic. Edited February 8, 201610 yr by PedroMendez

What features does a woman have which result in the three different levels of respect?
February 9, 201610 yr Like most my initial feeling is "never going to happen" That said... Crazier things have happened at Chelsea (like hiring back a second time for example!), and as stated by a few, if we are going to go through a complete REBUILD of the squad, then why not!! Him and Roman would need to go on a long weekend somewhere to resolve their issues and the backroom staff would need a reshuffle,. but it COULD be possible. Jose = Manager Drogba = Assistant JT = Player/Coach Eva = Team Doctor Hehehe, That would be EPIC! Edited February 9, 201610 yr by ButchersHook
February 9, 201610 yr Please expand on this fascinating piece of information. What features does a woman have which result in the three different levels of respect? The first is a simple but polite greeting similar to a miss, mrs or sir. Then marm which to me is a greeting used to a women that is a higher up (or just high ranking), and is meant in a very respectful manner, acknowledging her on her superiority. And then the american maahhhhrm is just a general greeting. At least this is just my view and I am sure in america there are more than just the one type of ma'am than the one I am expressing. Also these levels of respect should not be garnered by a woman's features. Or at least we should have grown passed that by now.
February 9, 201610 yr All women should be respected equally, as long as they get the washing up done, have tea ready and massage my feet. Otherwise there would be a problem......

February 9, 201610 yr You say ma'am to MEN??? No he said "similar to a miss, mrs or sir" you numpty! So saying "good morning ma'am" (to a woman) is similar to saying "good morning sir" (to a man)
February 9, 201610 yr No he said "similar to a miss, mrs or sir" you numpty! So saying "good morning ma'am" (to a woman) is similar to saying "good morning sir" (to a man) Not at my best in the morning! My brain wakes up later than my body!
February 9, 201610 yr We have madam, as in 'may I take your order madam...' and Cynthia Payne. Agree! Here only obsequious shopkeepers use these terms. And the only customers who use them are Cynthia Payne's!
