So De Laurentis has confirmed we made a £58m bid for Koulibaly, which would have smashed the world record for a centre half and if I'm not mistaken would have been the third highest (incoming) transfer in English football history after Pogba and Di Maria.

Also incase you haven't noticed we hit over £100m net this summer a feat only the Manchester clubs replicated.

Hardly fits into you're narrative that the board are penny pinchers, does it?

The end result remains the same - none of Conte's targets bar Kante were secured regardless of what the Napoli chairman said or didn't say.

Spread that 100 million pounds over the past few seasons and it's peanuts compared to what the other big clubs have spent.

Low-balling and making last minute panic buys are the hallmarks of the Board whether you care to admit it or not.

3rd highest net spend and a record breaking defender bid are not the signs of low balling club whether you care to admit it or not.

Liverpool and Everton had negative net spends last summer so maybe those forums are the place for all the penny pinching board posts?

Out of interest, what would have you're reaction been had we signed Ragnar Klavan or Winjnaldum?

A bid but not a buy - end of.   It proves zilch and you know it.

Doesn't matter what my reaction would be.  What irks me is your slavish support for the Board.

Theres no proof to anything you say either, unless you are holding back something.

I don't even know why i asked, a 30 year old trophyless centre half for 5 mil, you Would have had a field day.

What are you muttering about?  The proof is Koulibaly didn't join Chelsea.

And now you are bringing non-sequitur rubbish about some random player from Liverpool of wherever.

I have heard rubbish arguments last year as well. We bid 90m for Pogba so board is doing their job. No they aren't. Did Pogba show up? No. Did somebody else get him next year? Yes. It is because they offered better terms and well in advance, not last minute panic bids.

The likes of Argo@Tomo loves to crow about so-called high priced bids to show that the Board is doing their job and hence they deserve pats on their backs for a good day's work.

What hogwash is that - it's a results business and if Pogba and Koulibaly failed to materialize at the Bridge, then it's the f*cking Board's FAULT and no one else's.  I couldn't give a rat's arse if the Board bidded 100 million pounds for Koulibaly, they failed to buy what Conte wanted and any rational person would deem that as a FAILURE.

No last year was a massive screw up.

This year while the defender signings were underwhelming, we signed one of the best midfielders in Europe and in signing Michy we have two quality strikers for the first time since 2010. Could it have gone better? Yes, but its got to the point were some people make Real Madrid supporters look level headed and rational .

No one is asking for Pogba and Bale in every window. There have been glaring holes for some years now and the continued failure doesn't help. We had a decent window this time but we still failed to address our biggest concern. We act like a mid table side nowadays so don't blame managers when they aren't able to deliver.

The email you have listed on you're profile and you're username on another Chelsea forum is Bellion, and by coincidence there is an ex Man.Utd player with the same name. I would give you the benefit of the doubt if you said something positive once in a while, but to come on a Chelsea forum named after an ex United player and constantly spreading bile about the club.......

Making personal attacks now, eh?

So if someone puts their email address as bryanrobson@gmail or [email protected] it proves they are a trollish rival fan?  What idiocy!

And pointing out holes in your so-called arguments is spreading bile?

What scummish behavior!

I can't recall one positive post you have ever made, you only ever talk good about a certain player/manager if it gives you a path to thrash the club.

Given how many trolls are about you can't blame me for being suspicious about you using the name of an ex United player, go on another teams forum with the name Kalou and only ever talk negative see how far you get.

Is this bellion the same one who had the username bellion? He was a f**king idiot.

I do have good things to say about Victor Moses which you probably do not favour.  And I don't thrash the club - it's the Board I have an issue with.

In your addled mind, the Board = Club.  I thrash your precious board, you get worked up, now that's a laugh!

Grow up and get a life will ya?  Instead of acting idiotic over email addresses.

To be fair you would think a closet Man Utd fan would pick someone better than David Bellion to use in their e-mail address.

If someone's e-mail address was [email protected] I wouldn't automatically assume they supported Fulham.

I didn't even bellion was the name of a former ManU footballer lol!

Argo must be doing nothing but reading about obscure football players everyday to even know about David Bellion.

In what world is bidding 58 million for a CB Low Balling?

Transfers in real life are harder than they appear in football Manager.

Bellion was quite famous for a while about a decade ago as a figure of fun. He was signed by Man Utd and widely expected to be the 'new Henry', only to flop horrifically and have an entirely forgettable career outside of England.

My manU supporting friend told me their height of ridicule is Eric Djemba Djemba - so bad they named him twice.

Actually no i found out about him when someone with the same Name was on another forum posing as a Liverpool fan, moaning about the same stuff you do, coincidence I'm sure. Why do you think I asked you about Klavan?

Quite ironic that Moses is the one you like, considering if he was owned by West Ham and we brought him instead of going all out for James or someone you would have been the first to get whinge about the low balling and going for a bargain basement instead.

No, the board is the only element of the club you talk about (you only talk about a player or manager of it gives you scope to attack the board), so as the board is you're only real topic of convo yo are thrashing the club.

And are you really telling me to get a life ? The one who's on Chelsea forums and a football forum as a Liverpool fan with an ex United players name.

I'd I looked hard enough (don't worry I won't) I could probably find you on Arsenal, Spurs, Dortmund, Atletico forums and any other top club/team that has relitevely low net spend.

The likes of Ichk@Bellion, Didier and the rest of the board are satan crew actually think that running a football club is like FIFA career mode, that's the only explanation I can think of as to why they make the type of comments they do.

Do I think we have the best board in the world? No of course I don't and if we can upgrade them with superior options then by all means do, but what the likes of Bellion fails to understand is there is a difference between being a "fan" of the board and slating them the summer they signed the best midfielder in the league, a hugely talented young forward and made steps to sign a defender for a world record defensive price, and when that didn't happen went for plan B, who is also a good all be it slightly error prone Centre half.

2015 transfer window was a screw up, this year was good but could have been better, unfortunately some people only take perfection, and its 2014 and 2012 level success window or bust.

Used have to look at the timing. We bid 58m as our very last bid 1 day before the window closed. Make that same bid 2 months before and who knows. For Koulibaly I don't really blame the board because the Napoli president is a prick. But we have been starting with lowball offers for a lot of players and then it is too late.

For comparison, city and United don't seem to have the same issues like us. The difference? Their superior transfer board.

Why do I care what you ask about some no name player?  Me liking Moses has nothing to do with what the Board does.  Your pathetic attempts at trying to link unrelated matters together shows you are scraping the bottom of the barrel at yet another attempt at personal attacks.  Anymore of this and I will report you.

Muahaha!  Now you are seeing conspiracies and trolls everywhere.  I repeat - get a life and take a hike from the forums.  It will actually do you some good or else check into the loony house.
