what they saying now?  seriously, we have to give massive kudos to conte and the defence for really bucking up their ideas. we have been phenomenal in defence and solid as a rock. i feel we can only get stronger defensively too. we have zouma finally back from injury and with another reinforcement or two in jan we could sure up that defence while then focusing on offence a bit more. cahill used to be the weak link but has really improved himself in that position. i do feel we could use more pace alongside luiz and azpi, but for now cahill is showing he deserves the place at present. 

what are your thoughts on our defence? 

where/who would you like to improve on in that aspect? 

What's more impressive in this run is only United, City and Sunderland have created serious chances against us and Courtois has saved us whenever he has needed too. You can't underestimate Tibo's role in this either, he has nothing to do for large periods yet does the buisness when called upon, half the reason United have dropped a lot of points when they were the better side is because De Gea's average at that side of the game.

Defense gives a hell of a foundation which is why i could never relate to attacking at the expense of defense managers, our attack go into games knowing one will likely be enough and two almost certainly will be, must be a great weight of there minds.

It's hilarious, you can even add one of the absolute best keepers in the world in Courtois to that list and the four of them are still not more expensive then one John Stones 

 

To be fair at the time they were spot on, we were a shambles at the back. Arsenal made us look silly at times but after we made the switch it's been night and day.

A lot of credit goes to Conte, he made us look so strong, especially in the defense. David Luiz looks so class under him, Cahill sometimes makes few mistakes, but then put an incredible performance, Azplicueta like always..

Getting Stones for 50m would've been Mourinho's final f**k you to this club. Hated Martinez when he refused but now I'm glad he denied us.

By "they" do you mean you? You've been a pretty strident critic of our defence earlier this season, and that's okay, because it was terrible back then.

Funny how people always target one player or one backline. It is all about the system and how well all clip in. The players are all very good on this level.

also Don Antonio had a vision & knew how to implement his vision + he got the players to buy into his vision - IMHO mad props to Don Antonio

 guilty too! it just hurts more when others say it about the team and our players. it's nice to prove those doubters wrong, especially the mourinho and pep w**k fest before the season started. conte is finally being acknowledged for his managerial acumen, but also players like luiz for his defensive consistency despite the naysayers. moses can be added to that list too.

definitely. when we lost against arsenal and pool, it was almost like "oh not this again" and felt like we needed a whole new backline, and with zouma out i myself feared the first few months would end up painful ones. so glad everything changed for the better and we stopped shipping needless goals. great to say certain players receiving the credit they deserve once again.
