My favourite has to be Dennis Wise, "Chelsea" ran through him like a Stick of Rock. You can't think of him without that cheeky smile on his face and his "trouble's coming" look. A proper Captain who lead his Team on the pitch by example, we could do with his Spirit today.

I remember his debut and was there when he lifted the FA Cup.

I always think of the term, 'no surrender' as a motto for Wise due to his combative nature.

He always seemed to give 100% and also had a fair bit of skill before the bar was lifted with the foreign contingent with the likes of Zola and Gullit coming along.

He also scored a f**king great goal! Our midfielders now could do with a few sessions with Wisey!

The Bison. Ravaged by injuries but he epitomised our team when we were up there challenging in Europe. Power, tenacity and an incredible engine. Was sorely missed when he wasn’t fit.
