I would very much like to see that we start in this formation, but unfortunately don't see it happening. Unlike much of the members on this forum I like Kovacic quite a lot, but just not in an attacking role. Jorginho for me is useless. Everyone he offers Kovacic can do as well. Moreover Kovacic is a lot quicker and I think he has more technical ability.  With Kante besides him in a more defensive role I think we are solid enough. Emerson above Alonso this match, Alonso need a rest and I think Emerson is better for our build up play. RLC to start is obviously for me and give CHO a chance as well since Pedro and Willian are struggeling at the moment. Giroud as striker who can assist the three man behind him. C'mon Chelsea

Not feeling optimistic about this one.

I suggest you acquaint yourself with how our club identify transfer targets before blaming "that bird". She has a name, by the way, it's Marina Granovskaia. There is no need to use misogynistic language.

She negotiated a deal but someone within the scouting department will have already agreed with the board and manager who we should go in for. If you honestly think she sits there and decides who we should sign i worry for you.

Look at us since she came in.......she has the final say. She decides if a said player is woth it or not. Its under her we have made horrible buys. Transfers should go to someone who knows their stuff. Look at arsenal now, totally diffirent since that man camen in.

She probably has the final say financially, she'll have no say in anything else. Hence why we have a multi-million pound scouting department.

Marina's had the job since 2014 now. In that time we signed: Costa, Fabregas, Pedro, Kante, Alonso, Luiz, Rudiger, Barkley, Ampadu, Kepa, Kovacic, Jorginho etc. All of which have contributed to 2 league titles. Must be doing something right. Or do we just blame her for the sh*t signings?

Yeah but since then its gotten much worse, and why not mention the horrible buys? You dont mention how badly slow we are, how we hustle and dime, or that we go in too late? And the scouts need a wake up call too. Theres no denying we have gone for rather cheaper and crappier players last few seasons. Hence we are paying for it now. She's the boss, its on her. You cant exempt her jut cause someone lower told her this and that...she gets the the big money and the responsibilites on her.

That's on Conte saying our squad is thin and we need to sign numbers. The summer Conte left we signed Jorginho (£50m), Kepa (£70m), Kovacic (loan). We're now likely to sign Higuain in January too. This has been a great year for transfers.

Yeah blame it all on Conte.....god forbid if anyone throws a diss towards our board. Yeah Higian at 31 will be such a power buy, a loan has to be the max for him. Again we needed to pull a striker summer time. Not Jan when we are super desperate with no quality forward available. Another failure by the board, not selling Willy for 55-60m is another one. And btw you are really blaming Conte for us wasting 230M Pounds on tosh? He never had this kind of power or he would still be here.

Sarri last worked with Higuin at Napoli 4 years ago. He's not the same quality as he was then He's older and hasn't scored in Seria A for quite some time. We would effectively be swapping one bit of dross for an older bit of dross. That's bonkers.

In summer we clearly decided to give Morata another go under a new manager in an attacking system. We've given him 6 months and he still can't do it so we're going for Sarri's first choice. It would have been naive of us to throw Morata out after spending £58m on him because of one season.

Lets be honest, no one ever offered £60m for Willian. The offer that came in was more likely to be around the £20-30m mark. Although i would have wanted him gone, no one ever offered that much money and people need to stop pretending it is fact.

It was all over the media barca wanted Willy and he himself confirmed it. And I doubt they offered 2-30 for him only. Not in this market. And conte wanted quality players........not the likes of Zappa and DD etc. That was just us either going too late or hassling over the Price for too long. Probably both and hence we f**ked up.........and Im sorry but that bit with Morata do not fly. We saw plenty last season to know he is not THE answer. If the Club thought he would bang them in suddenly all season then foolish them. And what if he got injured badly? We would have Giroud all season.......thats not having a plan or vision to me.

So you think a club like Barcelona offered more than £20-30m for a 31 year old winger that was being brought in to play back up.. Right then.

Conte stated his squad wasn't big enough to compete in Europe. He had to make a choice between one or two quality players, or depth in numbers. We aren't the club that can go out and sign 5 world class players every window anymore. Perhaps go support City if that is what you're wanting.

Morata started his career at Chelsea well and was a massive investment. It would have been stupid for us bin him straight away. We gave him half a season under Sarri, the same manager who transformed Mertens and Higuain into two of the deadliest attackers in the game, and are now doing something about it at the earliest possible chance. We can't overhaul an entire team in one window.
