When this mob first took over they made some catastrophic mistakes, but to be fair to them they have learnt.

This transfer window was, in my opinion a blinder.

We have replaced for example two weak and stroppy forwards Jackson & Nkunku with Delap and Pedro, who for me are a major upgrade, not withstanding the profit the club made on them. I also think that garnacho may turn out to be a better player than madueke, he has a 'bite' about him (which I of course despised at manure !)

I am feeling good about this coming season and I for one don't want to end up in a polarised for or against the owners, it serves no one well.

They have done better, but its not been a blinder. We had 3 major problems to fix, and they've only fixed one of them, and even managed to balls that up to a point they had to cancel loans we had to cover 1 injury.

We have not covered the problem areas of centre back and keeper, its a massive failing on their part, especially when there were several options for both positions.

Queue: they shouldn't have done those mistakes in the first place!!!!

They did a great job. We build our player portfolio while dodging any major fines/bans. Now we reap the rewards. Keep the best talent for the squad, make profit on the rest. Win/Win!

Can’t you be respectful? If you don’t get or approve of the model, you don't have to trash talk posters on here. We don’t have Romans free money and we have a small stadium. Come up with a better plan for our owners then, since you’re so brilliant.

you queueing it up doesnt suddenly mean its not true, you get that right?

It was my queue that worked as anticipated. Make your own.

Not only does it make it true, but it also shows you’re boring. 🥱

So apparently the board deserve a round of applause because they’ve dodged further UEFA sanctions. Which is a bit like setting your own house on fire, then expecting a medal because you managed to wee it out before the fire brigade turned up. Let’s not forget - they were already fined for it. Small detail.

Yes, Pedro and Delap look lively. But honestly, any football player (or Maureen the tea lady) would’ve been a step up from Jackass bumbling about up front. Limited kudos for this... but I accept a great start from Pedro.

Elswhere however, the comedy club continues:

  • Dodgy keeper who couldn’t catch a cold in Siberia.

  • Dodgy manager serving up football slower than my dial up connection in the 90s.

  • Still no sponsor.

  • Disaster, Baddy and Sterling hanging around like the last three guests at a party who didn’t get the hint.

  • And unless I’ve missed a miracle, we’re still paying Chilwell to kick a football and eat brie in France.

So yes, “baby steps” and all that… but let’s not start erecting statues. Praising them for avoiding problems they created in the first place is like thanking a burglar for sweeping up after nicking your telly.

So this argument is basically - you step in one pile of steaming dog poo to avoid an even bigger one in your next step.

Answer: Choose a better path more wisely before setting off on your journey or when confronted with big pile of poo - reassess and change direction unless you like cleaning up dog muck.

Sub answer: players are increasingly going to reject low wages/ long contracts, given how senior and junior players have been treated with the bomb squad. So a rethink is very much needed.

Sub sub answer: The board could try not selling the best academy players, using them as they often on a par with what we spend 1.5 billion on/ try signing players who will play for the first team/ improve it without collecting dust.

Sub Sub Sub answer: You've gone and brought Roman into this... so here goes. We are not spending Romans money becuase weve spent 1.5 billion loaned against the club as I understand it. The club is now in debt...

Sub sub sub sub sub answer. glad you are enjoying being a completly argumentaive...

If I may help train your algorithm, its Cue - not Queue. (sorry not aiming this at you DWK) Evissy, one sets in motion the other is to stand in a line waiting behind others.

Cue the same old sorry bickering over things we have no control over nor we know zero facts from the inside.

A whole lot of nothing but opinions and assumptions. If you knew how business works you would not speak this way. The 1.5b is turned into 1.7b long term. You turned 1.5b into 200m profit while building a great squad for free. Thats the model. We build the portfolio with that 1.5b, now we work with it. Cant put it any simpler layman’s terms for you.

Now we have a young squad for the next 10 years. We can focus on the stadium issue which it is not bringing enough income compared to the rest. If we do not have a higher capacity, you can expect the ticket prices to rise so we can keep up with the rest of PL. It is simple supply and demand. We will have the most expensive ticket prices out of the top 10 in the PL due to the low capacity. Right now we are mitigating this issue with the portfolio model.

I simply dont understand the mental gymnastics with this argument. The club was debt-free after the takeover. It is now 1.5 billion in debt. How have we assembled a squad for free? so far its cost 1.2 billion right?

In simple English so I can patronise you back.... Have you seen the turnover of players? All of them youngsters being sold, some at loss to pay for the debt and fines that need to be serviced. Players grow older and they will be sold. Only premiership clubs can afford the prices. Have you seen how little was spent across the other leagues this window? when do we stop signing players or do we have enough yet to service the interest on the debt we will incure season upon season.

our owners are pricing fans out of the ground by selling them through thier ticket touting service.

Back to you.

A football club maybe a business in the eyes of many but it's not to fans who have supported this club before Clearlake and they will when Clearlake move on. We can bicker, whine and piss and moan about it as much as we want because if we feel that something is off there's going to be a concern. If they have done something right no doubt people will praise it, I totally understand where you want to be positive and I admire it but we're not going to celebrate them escaping something down to their own incompetence.

I don't celebrate selling hotels and the womens team as a clever loophole, it's them trying to fix the mistakes they have made.

I want this lot to be transfer banned so the club can breathe!

Back to you.

I’ll let you do some research and you can come back with actual facts. Easy to ramble on here, but come back to me when you have done your own research to your questions because you will be surprised and might even change your mind. I did the research and understood it. Went from hating our ownership to having an epiphany because I was no longer lazily spouting anger, but sat down and took time to understand the model.

I’ve been in your shoes, so entertain your own curiosities now because I’m clearly not getting through to you. No point going back and forth, so nothing to throw “back to you” aside from advice.
