September 16, 2025Sep 16 I think my point was that there are less top transfers or players moving for larger sums. Real Madrid spent 120 million to bolster their first team, we dropped that on two wingers/ bench players. Chelsea in its wisdom are buying youngsters for larger fees than most clubs are prepared to pay for established talent and stars. Therefore, we get lumbered with players... for example, Diaz, an established international and prem/ CL proven player, went for 20 million more than we paid for an untried and testest youth teamer getting no minutes in Portugal who is due to arrive next season.
September 16, 2025Sep 16 Couldn't think of anywhere else to post this. It's a recording of the Chelsea Supporters Trust AGM which took place on Saturday. Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend as was at the Goodwood Revival watching classic cars and motorcycles race. More of that elsewhere on the forum.Unsurprisingly much of the meeting was about the new ticketing system and the allocation of tickets. A few points:Vivid Seats was mentioned and Todd Boehly's involvement in that ticketing organisation. The CST has contacted Boehly on a number of occasions but he hasn't responded. The CST has also contacted the Premier League about Vivid and the PL is looking into the matter. There were questions about how many tickets are allocated to members. The CST has contacted the club about how many ST holders there are; how many tickets are given to corporate and hospitality people; and how many tickets go to members. The club has not provided the figures citing confidentiality. It was commented that the new system has been rushed an not properly tested. I spent over 25 years in a Government Department's IT Department and we had systems in offices around the world and those were tested to breaking point and we also has volunteers from staff to test them before rolling them out to the organisation. One person at the AGM said that he would have been more than willing to test the systems. There have been a lot of changes with the new system and it looks like the club was in a hurry to roll it out.Tickets are placed on the Ticket Exchange and some of those have been bought by touts. The club has a department to combat touting. It was suggested that if you bought a ticket from the exchange that you would have to go to the ticket office and provide proof of ID. That, hopefully, would combat fraud. I live in London and am of an age when I get free travel in the Capital. Every year I have to renew my free travel pass and pay an admin charge and provide proof of address. Wouldn't be difficult for the club to implement a system.Communication from the club has been poor and it is not always easy to find stuff and often information is sent out too late.Graham Smith who worked in the ticket office for 20 years left in July. That's a lot of experience and knowledge lost. Apparently the club contacted him for advice after the new system was introduced. The club should have anticipated that. It's my understanding that Graham left as he wasn't happy with the new system. There was no update on the development of the ground. The recording is just under an hour and three-quarters in length. @Richard P given our recent exchange of messages about Vivid I think you'll be interested.

September 16, 2025Sep 16 Stefan Borson said on talk sport previous examples of Spurs in 94 and Luton in 08 who self reported previous management who made illegal payments to agents suffered both financial and sporting charges. He expects we will have a points deduction, fine and transfer ban.Due to one of the named transfers being Eden Hazard am seeing the same calls from other clubs fans as I have seen about city and their charges, all trophies between those periods stripped.

Also, fans comparing it to City haven't got a clue what they are talking about. It's not even remotely similar.I wouldn't be surprised if we do get a points deduction though. I don't really see why the argument that we have different owners holds any weight.

I mean maybe from the FA but the PL will be under pressure for sides who have suffered points deductions for breaking rules recently, like Everton.

When I worked one of the tasks I truly hated was writing end of year assessments for staff. One chap who had been in the army was a nightmare to manage and under the heading Oral expression on his assessment I wrote “ Loud, convincing but often wrong” ? No the chaps name wasn’t Borson but if the cap fits and all that!In relation to Borson he for some while claimed that we would fall foul . Yet Bohley and Co sold the hotels, he then said we wouldn’t be allowed them for PSR in 22/23 he was wrong, he said that UEFA would ban us, that we wouldn’t pass PSR in 23/24, he was wrong. He said the PL won’t be able to prove their case against City. Will he be wrong again ?Love the or hate them Clearlake clearly know or should I say have people who know, the rules as written and of cours3 have access to the records in real time as opposed to Boston who only has access to what’s in the public domain.

September 17, 2025Sep 17 Am I correct in thinking we potentially faceFinesTransfer BanPoints deductionI would like our legally knowledgeable chaps on here to give in their opinion the view on what we might actually get.My main concern is points deduction/ relegation Thanks
September 17, 2025Sep 17 Borson is so biased and very anti Chelsea I don't believe any of his spoutings

Agree, the club citing confidentiality isn't good. The CST has estimated that about 5,000 tickets are available to members. I've heard and read that the number of ST holders is between 25,000 and 27,000. Depends on what you report you read. If 3,000 tickets are allocated to away fans for league games that leaves 5,000 for corporates, hospitality etc based on 27,000 ST holders and a ground capacity of just over 40,000.It would help everyone if the club published details. Probably scared of the backlash.

"See the guy many of you loved is a crook"...
September 18, 2025Sep 18 When your plan is to buy average players based on the wages and to make a few bobs buying and selling young players, average football results is what you get. Add to that getting an average manager because he won't make a noise.
September 20, 2025Sep 20 Get these clowns out of the Club, and they can take their CFCLDN nonsense sh*t with them!!
September 20, 2025Sep 20 Liquidate this horrible BlueCo CFCLDN iteration.Sell all the assets to some innocent Israeli business by the name of Mr R Abramovich get Bruce, Petr & Marina back. Maybe do something really crazy like have a FOS and allow fans to buy tickets with memberships.
September 20, 2025Sep 20 They’re not interested in building a football team to compete, they’re interested in buying and selling players on low wages so they can sell on for profit.
September 21, 2025Sep 21 Poor clown lake. banned from being able to come on and say to all who do not worship the great BlueCo is anti American!Carefree, well we used to be, we were once the famous CfC.That was then, this is now, we are just BlueCos cash cow...Carefree...
