The majority of the transfer fees Clearlake have recovered are selling signings (Havertz, Werner, Emerson, Kovacic, Pulisic, Lukaku) or selling the Cobham lads (Hall, Gallagher, Mount, Maatsen, RLC) from the Roman era.

That massive over 800m deficit in transfer spending can never be wiped out can it, by our constant player trading and maybe making a profit on some players ?? None of which is of any benefit to the football team ? Maybe I'm missing something, but with that level of spending we should have continued being an elite club.instead of a laughing stock club

When you look at the figure as a whole its insane, but its even worse when you actually digest the numbers. I'd say about 50% of our signings any casual football fan could tell you we were over paying. We set a precedent in that first window that we'll spend stupid amounts of money on average players and now we get fleeced for it.

Just three random screenshots from our last few windows, would anyone have said these players were worth what we paid for them at the time, or even now?

Mess?

Chelsea Break Premier League Record for Most Sales in a Single Transfer Window

Yay, we're number 1 for transfer sales, let's get excited 😐

It's hardly something to be impressed about. We had a bloated squad of like 50 players and had no choice but to get these players out because of that UEFA charge. It's just partly cleaning up the mess they created.

As Eghbali said the goal is to run Brighton strategy.

I may dislike it but this is the reality of our owner and this is what we have done in the last two seasons. From the board pov, our sd has done brilliant job.

Oh so questioned whether or not the club is a mess you replied on behalf of the board? That's nice, giving them a voice here. Next time you speak on their behalf, ask them how alienating the supporters, ticketing policy and no front of shirt sponsor are in line with the Brighton stragegy.

I don't speak on their behalf.

@Scott Harris said the board should fire our sd because the club is a mess but from the owner pov, they are doing a good job because this is what they want.

You are close enough to the owners to know their POV and opinion?! That’s awesome.

Please tell them I said hi - and do them to sack Fraudesca!

If this is what they want, then they're clueless.

This after goal music crap made it onto the ‘in my opinion’ feature on 5 Live’s breakfast show this morning. And the Chelsea fan who wants it gone appeared to get universal support from all quarters that music after goals is not wanted or needed. Not often one of those discussions doesn’t polarise people.

But I expect it’s here to stay at Stamford Bridge. But will they play it almost immediately after a goal or will they wait a minute or two in case VAR disallow it?

And will we be playing it if we score a last minute consolation goal when 3-0 down?

f**king embarrassing.

Kieran Maguire on Chelsea’s FOS hold up:

“The price that Chelsea have been quoting to sponsors has been one where everyone has walked out the door. The owners feel the value of the club is significantly higher than what would appear to be the case from an advertiser’s perspective.”

Looking forward to 8 years time when they try to sell the club at their valuation and no one agrees to it. Stuck with the c**ts for eternity.

How about this from the NFL ? You need to pay a one off fee for a PSL seat licence which then grants you the right to buy a season ticket for that seat !!. It was mentioned that Utd were considering it, but I can't recall that ??

Understanding Personal Seat License (PSL) Costs

General Cost Overview

A Personal Seat License (PSL) is a one-time fee that grants the holder the right to purchase season tickets for a specific seat in a stadium. The cost of a PSL can vary significantly based on several factors, including the team, the stadium location, and the seating area.

Example Costs by Team

PSL Cost Range

Additional Notes

New York Giants

$2,675 - $7,300

Prices vary by seating area;

Carolina Panthers

Starting at $21/month

Flexible payment plans available; one-time fee for PSL.

Baltimore Ravens

Varies by location

Includes access to rewards and customer service.

Atlanta Falcons

Varies by location

One of the most expensive PSL programs in the NFL.

Well, you don't award extended contracts to the SDs unless you think they are doing a good job . You don't have to be on intimate terms with anyone to work that one out Jim ,.

I think you've been misunderstood Bob ! You're just stating that the owners think they are doing a good job The award of another 6 years on their contracts is all the evidence you need to know that what you said is true ....In August....vvv

"The Blues have handed bumper six-year contract extensions to co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart as well as recruitment chiefs Joe Shields and Sam Jewell.

The new deals will run until 2031. It’s a massive show of faith and confidence in the quartet’s vision and the progress the club has made under their guidance."

There remains an ongoing competitive process for the front-of-shirt sponsor with Chelsea believed to have had offers but focused on aligning with the right long-term partner. The club is aiming to strike a deal worth £60m-£65m per season.

I reckon no one is offering close to their ask.

Why would they? We aren’t champions league regulars and under these directors we could genuinely be always battling for Top 4 every season vs being an established champions league regulars.

We know this, everyone in football knows this. Everyone except our owners and that Clown Lake muppet.
