February 24, 20197 yr Shocking scenes in the cup final, but what is more shocking was that Azpilicueta did not go to drag Kepa out of the field. Not only that, but he went to hug him after his penalty take. Pretty obvious the player power in our team!!! In other news, I'd like to inform everyone that I will be the new self proclaimed Chelsea Manager. Thanks Kepa for the motivation needed! #YOLO #CFC #ImTheCapt'n #SarriOut
February 25, 20197 yr Nothing against Azpi (or Gary Cahill, remember him?) but I always thought Luiz should be captain. I think Conte hating him might of put a spanner in the works last season with that! Today showed that he would make a good one. The spirit and organisation he put in was brilliant (the post even felt it) Dave is a great player but a bit too soft and fuzzy for a captain.

Luiz was the only one who even made an attempt to help Sarri out. It was a disgrace.

Given he is likely off in the summer would be a short term appointment.

He isn't positionally disciplined to be a leader, he takes too much risk which was the reason why Jose and Conte don't really trust him. In some games, you get the committed Luiz who will lead the team by example defensively, other times you get the Luiz who is so desperate to score in a game and will repeatedly move into attacking positions thereby leaving the team vulnerable defensively when the opposition launch a counter attack.
February 26, 20197 yr Dave didn’t do himself any favours on Sunday by failing to get involved with the Kepa incident

So, Dave, what exactly were you doing for the minute or two of stopped play where all this unfolded? Signing autographs for fans in the stands? I mean, can we risk fielding a player who can be so blind as to what's going on the pitch? Of course not, but we've all seen him play and know he actually does possess the capability to read what is happening on the pitch....and one would think particularly 6'4" men wearing neon green suits, yelling, and flapping their arms like a bird trying to take flight.
February 27, 20197 yr Can see no reason why Ruddier isn't captain, looks like the only player with a bit of Steel.
