Champions League draw

Featured Replies

Usually 10 points are sufficient to qualify, considering we beat the Russian team home & away we will just need a win and a draw from the Sevilla & Rennes games to qualify. Should be relatively straight forward, I don't think Rennes league form will translate they will be nervous and underperform in the CL.

I think  we will get through though Chelsea and the words, 'straight forward' don't seem to complement each other.

Will you just stop with your incessant bitch-whining and try to post one, just one positive opinion?

"finish bottom", f**king hell. Twitter is a much more appropriate outlet for such bollocks.

Surely incessant doom mongering is grounds for warnings and then if they don't stop then bye bye? There's a big risk it will cause a double whammy of chasing off decent contributors while also frightening off potential new ones from joining.

It happened on another Chelsea forum a few years back, an influx of doom mongerors and trolls invaded the site, were allowed to run riot for months and it never properly recovered to what it was before.

I'm in no way saying the mods aren't doing anything other than a great job running this site as I know how hard from running one in the past it is I just don't want this place going the same way.

I'm not sure if banning people for being overly miserable or talking bollocks would work (I doubt I'd last long if that was the case) or just create even more arguments and accusations of 'thought-policing' and the like. I tend to make heavy use of the ignore list, and it helps a lot to make the place more tolerable. Sometimes when I open the match-day thread the page is half empty, it's a life-saver.

Problem is the quoting system renders ignore next to meaningless.

I'm not saying it's a method that should be used lightly but there's some posters who have literally nothing remotely positive to say ever and talk about our club and players in ways I've become accustomed to from Spurs fans. There's being glass half empty and there's that.

Have you noticed he only ever shows his face when we're going through bad spells also?

Wait a minute there’s an ignore list?!  Tell me how this magic works? Well that’s if you can see this, and I’m not on your substantially large sounding ignore list.
