He won the golden boot the year he signed for us in the January, I believe he scored the majority of those goals for Bolton. 

He spent most of his time playing for us in a wide position, rather than through the middle. Quality player for us though, averaged a goal every 3 games but racked up quite a lot of assists too.

He joined us in 2007-08, in January 2008 and only scored a couple of goals that season, and missed the penalty in the Champions League as well.

He won the Golden Boot in 2008-09, under Scolari/Hiddink. He was huge for us that season given Scolari's treatment of Drogba and Lampard, and Drogba's periodic absences.

I think he was actually at his best under Ancelotti, 1/3 of an attacking trident that was blowing away teams.

He was awesome in that title winning season under Ancelotti. 

Malouda too looked great that season (arguably the only time he ever did).

In a criminal move I think Rooney somehow won player of the season that year.

Drogba was pretty much robbed of POTY that season. He played 32 games in the league socred 29 goals, assisted a further 13 (42 goal involvements in 32 games!). 

Rooney had a good season too (32 appearances, 26 goals and 5 assists) but Drogba was unplayable that season. He was an absolute monster that year and was the best he ever played.

I loved the Drogba & Anelka partnership.

I'm going to rank the strikers I've watched that are actually cursed:
1. Werner - effective despite missing sitters, likable
2. Morata - physically fine, can be aggressive but whiney and misses sitters
3. Torres - physically shot and mentally shot, whiney and unlikable and of course missed sitters

I think even Lampard had better numbers than Rooney, and in a season where the team just smashed goal scoring records.
