Never a dull moment, apparently back the agenda.

Sounds a but more acceptable

— 40 teams 2 leagues.

— 20 biggest clubs L1, next 20 L2.

— Teams play twice top 8 make playoffs.

— 9th 10th place avoid relegation.

— 11th - 20th relegated to L2.

— Playoff seeded by rankings.

I was really against the closed system they tried to implement, but if its based on league performance, i think it could be an intersting change of format, and hopefully give us some financial security in a very uncertain time.

If we get taken over by Americans and we join the European super league, become a franchise, in my eyes Chelsea are dead.  I’ll have to support Fulham instead.

A big fat NO to Super league.

I vote for a 3 team Super League

  • Real Madrid
  • Barcelona
  • Juventus

The sooner those 3 f**k off with all this nonsense the better ...

Now this is really unfair.

You need to look at the bigger picture here in to why they want the SL in the first place.

It's not because of "screw you fans". It's because these clubs don't think FIFA and UEFA are not paying them enough.

The PL is the number one football league in the world. PL clubs make so much more money than most La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 clubs.

And it shows, last season two English clubs reached the CL final, with Man United reaching the EL final. Three seasons ago, we had TWO all-English European finals (EL/CL).

Don't be surprised if at least one English club reaching the CL final this season, along with one of West Ham reaches the UECL final or Leicester reaching the EL final too.

English clubs are slowly dominating Europe. Why? Because we have more money to invest.

The other leagues have been playing catch up for years and COVID destroyed them.

Barcelona, can't afford Messi anymore and had to let him go for example.

This Super League is for them to level the playing field with the PL clubs. Honestly, if there was relegation in that league I won't be too bothered honestly. You can say it's a corrupt league but OPEN YOUR EYES. Everything is corrupt in football. FIFA, The FA, UEFA....they are ALL corrupt. They are not any better.

So the English clubs should just hand over the apparent "dominance" just because for example Spanish and Italian clubs (three clubs only, to be precise) want so? Their financing is their own problem, what has that got to do with us? What chance does that leave for smaller teams from weaker leagues? What is the point of football then?

They don't have to, but it seems the top 6 English club owners didn't mind that in the first place.

Also I'm not talking from a Chelsea-perspective as in, "Why does this benefit us?", I'm just telling you why the Super League happened and why Juve, Madrid and Barca really want this to happen. They want to be competitive again.

...which is why I said if it HAD relegation and promotion then I'm not too bothered by it. The original proposal stinks because of it didn't have it.

I was totally against this, but seeing how the Club has been treated this last week by all the football pundits and other fans and clubs, I'm inclined to tell them to stick the FA and PL where the sun don't shine and be a nasty club for real, grab the money and run to become a dominant Club in Europe, f**k them all!

Crap I almost forgot. Have you seen the new proposed 2024 CL format? How does that help smaller teams?

For example if West Ham finish 5th (5th place earns CL) but United finish 6th, United goes to the CL and not West Ham because of United’s stronger UEFA co-efficient.

UEFA are corrupt. So let the Super League happen. Football is down the tubes anyway.

Oh come on ...

Real Madrid and Barcelona have the highest turnover of any clubs globally. It's their own stupid fault if they cannot run their club properly and waste their income on expensive dud player acquisitions and telephone number player salaries. Ditto Juventus, who are equally inept, albeit at a lower income level (10th in the world in the chart below). They're still head and shoulders above other Italian clubs on the turnover front mind you. Just having a hissy fit because someone else won Serie A, and because they shat the bed when they signed Ronaldo on an unaffordable salary.

No sympathy for them at all.

Point taken that UEFA and FIFA are corrupt, but don't let that hide the main point that these clubs have completely blown their TV money windfall on an unsustainable operating model.
