The Womens team have better recruitment. They are queens in that league.
This is why when the new owners in, we just don’t need new players in, but sack the scouting team. Bringing in Lukaku was criminal.

Arsenal have to beat Spuds to make it mathematically impossible.
But if they tie, it will be very difficult for Spuds to overtake us. Basically we have to lose every PL game after Leeds.

Don't really care about his goals today. Yes, it's not his fault that his brace was overshadowed today, but his good performance today does not overshadow the complete crap that we have to put up with for months.

We still have pulling power. What we have over Liverpool is that the player on the market would walk straight to our first team, while with Liverpool you'll be on the bench.
Also sell most of these players instead of extending them. Or loan them out if we can't get rid. We need a clearout, I'm sorry.
We have to try and get out of that rot of not reaching 75+ points in a season. Because next season, it could get VERY ugly if we keep the dross.

I can't believe there is a good chance Arsenal will finish above us. And we finish 4th for the 3rd consecutive season (assuming Spuds don't pull a madness). No improvement in points tally.

We ain't beating Liverpool 100%. Our defence is so poor now while STILL our attack isn't clinical, there's no way Liverpool won't take advantage. It's going to be embarrassing.

Last seasons CL win was a fluke in every definition of the word. The only reason Chelsea won the CL last year was because the teams we played f**king bottled it, not because we were special. Fact!!!!

Lukaku is ass, he really is. No matter what we play to him, he finds a way to f**k it up. Ball over the top, useless, ball into his feet, he slips on his ass as he takes a shot. Just a f**king waste.

Spoke to a random Pool fan from church and said he is still hurt from that Gerrard slip. He loved Gerrard and we stopped him from lifting the PL trophy.
That game was one of my top favourite moments as a Chelsea fan. I remember these dipper fans in uni telling me we will get smashed at Anfield 6/7-0 with complete ease. Who the hell do they think they were? I was streaming the game live on my phone in the library as I was revising for my exams.
I was extremely nervous especially when we parked 10 buses. When that slip happened, and scored. I got out of my seat uncontrollably - fists in air. People around looked at me. Kind of embarrassed myself but it was like a coke bottle exploded in my veins. Couldn't help it.
After the game, I rubbed it SO hard on those fools.
Back to today, I told him that story. He said to me, "Well, thank you for making the quad a reality anyway. Thanks for the LC and the FA Cup". 
No response from me because I don't want to look like a fool. But I seriously hope their quad dreams come to a crashing end.

And then don't forget to "normalise" for player absences, covid impact, disruption from sanctions and ownership saga, contract (non) renewal impacts, the imposition of a dead donkey to the squad factor, etc etc etc :-) 

I agree with this. If you want to get a fair season on season statistic, you should discount top two scores and bottom two scores, divide the rest by  34. 

All fair points - however read Argo's excellent post for the season's context that HAS to count as mitigating circumstances.
Faisal makes some excellent points as well.
TT has done an excellent job considering the disruption he has faced. 

You need to put some context in to this though.
Yes we scored more goals this season. That includes 0-6 Southampton, 0-4 Burnley, 7-0 Norwich.
But then we have games that we failed to score. Everton. Wolves. 
Then 1-0 victories against 2nd team West Ham and Newcastle that we should have done better.
And the 1-1 draws with Brighton, Burnley, a very poor United TWICE and Everton.
(City and Pool games purposely left out).
Point I'm trying to make is, scoring tons of goals don't really mean nothing if it's not converted in to points. Winning 7-0 is still 3 points. We can lose three games in a row scoring 1 or 2 within them, and have one 8-0 win.
Just because we scored more goals this season, doesn't mean we are now more clinical. It feels the same as last season, and it sort of is, if you compare the points this season to last season. Yes we have more points on the board, but not by much.
