Chilwell was different class today, Boro couldnt deal with his runs at all as long as his fitness held up. Poch obviously likes the balance of one attacking full back and one defensive. I think Gusto will be the defensive one between him and Chilwell, and can do that role just fine. I’m more intrigued by what he does when James (hopefully) gets back to full fitness. In pre season he moved Chilwell to the wing, but I think we’d be better off trusting them to find the right balance between attacking and defending themselves - we just need them both to be on the pitch at the same time which I almost dont think has happened at all during this season

Last night Disasi was getting forward just as much as Chilwell, when one pushed up the other sat in. No reason this doesn't work when Reece is back, improves the starting 11 tenfold.

Probably same team against Villa except Gallagher for Mudryk. Sterling left Palmer right.

Madueke rather than Gallagher personally. I'd play Washington over Broja, but I imagine we are keeping him in the spotlight to keep his value for a sale.

Not quite how I remember it, but I would have to watch it back. In any case, it shouldn’t be a problem as you say and I really hope this is the way forward. The only reason I’m a bit worried is that he played Colwill at left back even when Chilwell was fit at the start of the season - I hope that experiment is ended now and we trust players to play in their natural position

Is strange how differently last night could have been. That first 10 minutes we looked clueless and really showed how inexperienced we are.

Its pretty clear that Poch's plan involved disrupting their back line by having runs from deep and try and hit them with balls in behind. However, much like against spurs earlier this year, rather than crafting scenarios to do so, it was forced. Which ended up with Enzo stood on the last man and Colwill lumping balls to their keeper. Borough had a couple of half chances which if 1 went in, im sure we go into full panic mode.

But credit to the team, they got a hold of the ball and started being more calculated with decisions. Still rather slow and painful in places but decision making in the final third was the best it has been for a long time. The press was good, helped by Borough opting for death by playing out from the back, and we're in a cup final! What more could we want?

Definitely worth the watch back. I thought it was a back three of Colwill-Silva-Disasi for the first 15 minutes last night but often Chilwell was sat deep next to Colwill and Disasi ended up high on the last man.

WE are in the final. Woo-hoo!

Chances are is that it is going to be those scouse bastards again.  A final which is a likely loss, how many domestic finals have we lost recently? I think its something like ALL of the last 6 finals we've played in!? Surely 7 in a row, if it happens, would be some kind of record?

Lots of guys using being married as cover because they’re scared to admit their sexuality.

That is 100%. Statistically Disasi scored and had an assist and might have had a second and was pretty solid defensively. Don’t get me wrong. Fantastic having Chiller back, a proper full back who would have  thought it, but Disasi attacked just as much, just a very different style.

Jackson

Chilwell - Nkunku - Chuku - Sterling

Gallagher - Enzo

Colwill - Silva - James

This is poch plan coming to this season.
