Well the second one happens because of the first

No protected period = he can buy out his contract and transfer without our permission, limiting the amount we can get

Increased wages = increased liquidated damages in the event a club buys him out

Outstanding goal, takes a proper striker to be that switched on and clinical so early in a game. Created Palmers goal so well also, held the ball up and drew the CBs in, then slipped the perfect pass....
