It's semantics, but improved terms means that the amortisation period is extended past the 5-year limit set by the PL and UEFA rules.

So for example, signed 8 years contract in 2025, amortization spreads to 2030, re-sign contract renewal in 2026 then it spreads to 2031?

Yes. It's not really a loophole as the improved terms more or less cancel out any benefit of longer amortisation periods.

The more important benefit is that it renews the 'protected period' of Pedro's contract, which is important come 1 January 2027.
