Pep used two wingers against Arsenal in Doku and Semenyo.

Silva never seemed to stop moving and hardly lost the ball.

Rodri was also moving a lot to keep up momentum.

I thought Semenyo did well in getting crosses over though Doku looked double-marked.

I think it was Cherchi that crossed for the first goal and on the second O'Reilly times his run really well.

First time in a while I have been impressed with City and without KDB.

And so it starts…..

Watch how many Arsenal players withdraw from the internationals..

Saliba withdraws from France squad

Eze out of England squad

I thought there is a rule that if you can’t represent your country then you are banned from your clubs next match

Enzo was one of the few to hit a difficult shot on target.

I agree our midfield like our defence is not working out well.

Gallagher was a work-horse yet lacked some technique for me.

Not sure on KDH, he did not get much pitch-time so difficult to evaluate though agree he is a main player now for Everton,

Gallagher was precisely that, a workhorse. Never stoped running. Poch loved him, made him captain. I suspect he was a contributing factor in Poch calling it quits. The owners wanted to sell him for pure profit and Maresca didn't fancy him because he didn't fit the possession (for possession's sake) game. Out he went.

KDH was a B team regular, the Conference League team. Did well. I think he's responding to being given more responsibility.

Club needs to provide a verifiable injury assessment to avoid any penalty. Ho hum.

Ever since Poch I've been so envious of the likes of Liverpool, City and Arsenal with how hard their players work off the ball, and consistently too. Perfect combination of technical quality and work ethic.

We can't get one or the other right, let alone both. Be it actual coaching, scouting, or if the dimwits upstairs are actually telling the coaching staff to implement a style of play where our players move less on and off the ball.

How 7th in Premier League table can qualify for UCL as UE...

Newcastle United are 10th in the Premier League and among the team that still have a chance to qualify for the Champions League

This is stupid. If Villa win the Europa League and finish 5th or 6th in the league and if Liverpool win the Champions League and finish 5th or 6th in the league, the Premier League will get a 7 teams in the Champions League next season. This is different from how things used to work. If you won the Champions League and finished 4th, the 4th spot wouldn't go to the team that finished 5th in the league. This would just dilute the Champions League even further. It's already bad enough that we had 6 in it this year.

I've never really watched City though I loved the way after the match finished and you see Rodri one of the older and more experienced players rushed over to O'Reilly and giving him a big hug. A good team moment.

We used to be like that a few years back too.

What was it that made them change the rule? I can't remember, must have been a good 14 years or so ago now.

Heaven forbid WH don't get to play Portsmouth at the stadium.

Oh, and there's a clause in the stadium rental agreement that reduces the already peppercorn rental by around 50% should WH end up in the Championship.

European Play offs for the World Cup tonight Northern Ireland, Ireland & Wales feature, should be worth a look.

I'll be watching Italy -v- N.I. Last night here they replayed Italy struggling to beat Moldova in November. Italian football is in a sorry state, even more so now with a chancer coach.

Highly likely. He has a year left on his MC contract. And, post-injury, he's not looking like the player he was.

I'm amazed that Hodgson wants to do this at age 78. There are a million things I would rather be doing at that age in preference to working ...

Mind you, I could say the same about Biden, Trump etc etc.

The most improbable part of that article is the reveal that Hodgson is an 'avid reader' of Milan Kundera. Roth, Updike, coming back to football at the age of 78, etc. I can easily believe
