I'll be honest, I don't really care about and frankly more clubs should be taking this stance. Clubs disproportionately bear the cost of injuries and workload due to international football, especially when many players have long transits to sub-standard venues. These 'international breaks' only exist so that club players can fuel FIFA's cash cows.

So have Spurs agreed to take on a manager who only a few days ago wanted to join at the end of the season if they stayed up?

That level of commitment is worrying for Spuds. I can now see a scenario where these buffoons are negotiating their way out of his 5 year deal in the summer whilst preparing for life in the championship, very odd.

Presumably there will be a clause of some sort in case of relegation. Or, knowing Spurs, probably not.

Therein lies the question. He famously starts badly at new clubs - didn't win any of his first 5 Brighton games - while he implements his "style". Does he go gungho again or settle for shoring up what exists to avoid relegation? A stubborn adherence to philosophy -v- pragmatism.

Zerbi does seem to get teams some great results yet they can also lose heavily too.

Boro dominated the first half, should have been well ahead. Story of their season. Their problem is, for all their skill, they can't score goals. They're also missing their guiding light, Hackney, through injury. Very talented lad, at least at this level. Millwall are decent at best. That they're contenders for automatic promotion speaks to the quality of the Championship this season. Not great.

Coventry bound to go up but they're going to have to take a leaf out of Sunderland's book. This season's Sunderland bears little resemblance to last season's. They bought very shrewdly over the summer and lifted the quality of the squad markedly. The current Coventry squad will really struggle in the PL.

It's also arguable that Slot is proving to be out of his depth. Tactical nous AWOL, relying on individual moments of excellence from the likes of Szoboszlai.

I think aside from those weird Chelsea accounts you see on the comments sections of social media, probably bots, there wasn’t one Chelsea fan who thought we had a chance. So depressing, City went from Aguero-to f**king Haaland just like that, they’ve had such a smooth ride, and everything has gone their way, and the bad choices they’ve made are microscopic in comparison. Then there’s us under Roman, with so many dud signings and having to deal with Fergie’s last great United team. History has been so kind to City.

Don't forget we got Palmer from them who has been great for us in the last two seasons.

They took Ake from us and he has not always played well for them though he did in the League Cup final.
