Every man and his dog just automatically assume City will beat Arsenal on Sunday.

But much like the Sporting second leg arsenal don't have to win, a draw gets the job done and they can just spoil and counter.

City are at home so they will have an advantage should be an interesting one,

City are a level above Sporting, it depends on how Pep motivates his team

They are indeed. Still Arsenal can low block and counter, make it very hard for city to get through them. A draw is enough.

I do have a feeling that they are getting away with PL and CL this season, as bad as they are playing, they are having the required luck to win things. In the PL, I thought that City were not that good in the first half at the Bridge, and if they play like that, they won't be able to get through the Arsenal defence. And City are quite inconsistent this season, that's why they are not on top. In the CL, At. Madrid can challenge them, but ultimately I don't think that they've got the quality to beat Arsenal. It will be tough in the final, with Bayern or PSG having some very good players, but defensively they are not that much. Basically, I agree with you that this is Arsenal's year, unfortunately.

I don't fancy Bayern against Arsenal. I'd believe more PSG could beat them but their weak goalkeeper is a concern.

Hopefully Sconnie is right about Atletico.

I agree though I can see them winning the CL this ime around. They won't get a better route to a CL final.

Atletico literally have nothing else to play for. They are 22 points off of Barca from 1st in the league and 11 points clear of Betis in 5th.

Simeone is a master sh*tehouse tactician and incredibly difficult to beat over two legs. At this stage in the Champions League, the only thing that prevented Simeone from finally winning was peak, lethal goal scoring Ronaldo.

Arsenal are juggling both the League and Champions League, and are badly out of form.

The reaction of the Real players after that match is comical. They're so used to getting those dodgy penalties in injury time in the Champions League that they throw a tantrum when they get correct decisions against them.

Seeing Barca or Real cry about officiating in Europe just makes me laugh.

Barca 2005-2013 was getting sucked off by Platini and his influence and Real Madrid winning the three peat had so many offside goals/non penalties that VAR would've been working overtime.

The result on Sunday is key for me. Arsenal win they can focus on the CL, draw and realistically they can do the same.

City have to win and then Arsenal will have to take each game as a final.

Arsenal possibly could low block and counter but they've done next to nothing recently. Just constipated football. The once stout defence has been shaky and feeble in the final third.

Has the timing of the defence looking less than resolute been around the time they lost Timber to injury?

Hasn’t helped but the CBs have looked creaky under pressure it seems to me.

Made me laugh when a pundit said Arsenal's defence had restricted Sporting to just one shot on target. I think Sporting restricted themselves to one only shot.

Athletico will show Arsenal the best in the dark arts when they play each other, Arteta will go into orbit!

And come on FFS Citeh, turn em over on Sunday

It does feel that Arsenal’s “luck” or “fine margins” is over. Their results and performances haven’t been great. I think city will smell blood.

Me too.

Frank's back.

By the skin of his teeth. They were poor last night, very poor. Story of their season. Incredible inconsistency in what has been, overall, a very average Championship season. The maxim that any team can beat any other team makes for entertainment but also speaks to a lack of overall quality.

How the hell are Spurs not behind?, one way traffic for last 10 mins, van der venn hit the ball against his own post, and the ball hit his backside and came out, then Welbeck misses a header he would score 9 times out of 10
