Rest of the Season...............................gone!

I know this isn’t the right thing to say as a ‘fan’ but I’d happily lose out the rest of the season, apart from against Sp*rs, and miss out on Europe entirely.

1. It would set us up better for next season, probably.

2. It would send a message to the board that this strategy isn’t working, maybe.

3. It might mean we shift some of the deadweight in this squad, looking directly at you Fofana & Neto, hopefully,

Rest of the season all that matters is repeating the message over and over until it sinks in for all as a must have need.

This thread is so funny. Guys, we're very much still in the CL race. We're not in Europe anymore, Villa and Liverpool are. The idea that it's "gone" is hilarious.

CL is not a trophy. I’d rather the cup, until that goes the season is not gone I suppose but I won’t celebrate if we scrape 5th and are in the hat for more PSG whippings.

In the case of Villa, it will help if they win Europa. In that case, if they finish top 5, it will open up 6th spot in the league for Champs League. On present form though, even 6th looks challenging unless we can turn things around.

Totally agree. I would rather win the FA Cup and finish 10th.

Actually it wouldn't.

They would need to finish outside the top 5 and win the europa league for them to qualify

Ours is straightforward, finish above either villa or Liverpool.

So lets say Villa finish 4th and win Europa. Are there only 5 English teams in next season's Champs League? Who gets the additional spot in that case?
