ducavis
1. Bastian Schweinsteiger (Why did We Ever buy Ballack) : After Watching him against Wales Would Not mind Lampard Going To Outter Space. He makes Others Around Him Better 2. Miroslav Klose Or Lukas Poldoski (Former Miles Ahead of Owen & Latter Definately Made to score Goals) Cant believe we overlooked this 2 and bought that Peruvian from Bayern. 3. Alberto Aquilani - One of the most complete Midfielders In World Football (Excellent Technique & Long Range Shots) 4. Daniele De Rossi (He Wears The Number 10 shirt for Italy) 5. Ryan Babel (Still wondering What Frank Arnesen's Job Description Is) As much as we might all disagree a quick look at Liverpool's squad list http://www.uefagames.com/footballeurope ... index.html & I am envious 6. Giovani Dos Santos: If he is the next Ronaldinho why not pay his Release Clause of 13.5 million and put him straight in the team maybe as a foil for Drogba 7. Wesley Sneijder (This Frank Arnesen dude is a Joke!!) 8. Micah Richards (We have been chasing shadows for the last couple of seasons). Nothing against Belleti but We could have bought Micah For a fraction of what we offered for Daniel Alves and he is a better prospect ** Our football will be more interesting, Abramovich will be going to enjoy training sessions and we will definitely win the Champions League Problem is Sadly Mourinho wont be in charge!!!!!! P.S. Tell him to take Super Frank With Him
g3.7
arnesen's remit (is that the right word) is to sign players aged 16 and under, not the likes of sneijder and babel who both cost more than ?10m. a lot of people seemingly aren't happy with arnesen, but he's one of the people I want to stay with us for a VERY long time. his record is great and the reserves and the academy is thriving. we have... I think 17 players who have represented england at different youth levels. plus a decent amount of young foreign talent.
Gem
= Out of space? Take him with you? HA! Talk about ungreatful. I don't intend to turn this into another Lampard thread but my God. PS- I would have liked to signed Michael Owen when Madrid did. I'm in the minority I know. Singular is probably the right word.
german-blue
Sorry but comparing Schweinsteiger with Frank Lampard is just plain ridiculous. Schweinsteiger is a natural winger, who was played in the middle because of injury problems and you want to compare him with Frank Lampard? And to your question why we bought Pizarro and not Klose or Podolski !! Because he was free and both Klose and Poldi whould have been very expensive ! And Pizarro was bought as a back -up, you cant use Klose as a back-up can you ? And as other people already said, its not Arnesens job to look for players like Babel or Sneijder. loz
1. Bastian Schweinsteiger (Why did We Ever buy Ballack) : After Watching him against Wales Would Not mind Lampard Going To Outter Space. He makes Others Around Him Better And watching Liverpool against Derby I would put them above the Brazilian team of 1970. You clearly haven't watched Schweinsteiger play very often if you are making a direct comparison with Lampard. There is no criticism of you for not seeing him play often but if you haven't then it is probably not a good idea to make such bold statements as you just look foolish. 2. Miroslav Klose Or Lukas Poldoski (Former Miles Ahead of Owen & Latter Definately Made to score Goals) Cant believe we overlooked this 2 and bought that Peruvian from Bayern. Personally I wasn't overly excited with the Pizarro signing and so far I am yet to see anything to change my mind. However Klose and Podolski would both be expecting to be first team choices and neither would replace Drogba. For me we should go back to playing Drogba with Shevchenko. 3. Alberto Aquilani - One of the most complete Midfielders In World Football (Excellent Technique & Long Range Shots) Funnily enough we did actually make a move for Aquilani when he was still a kid (16 or 17) but he had no desire to leave Roma as that was the team he had always worshipped and as far as I know still does. He has no desire to leave Rome and thus irrespective of whether we wanted him or not we would probably not have got him. Contrary to popular belief money is not everything to everyone. 4. Daniele De Rossi (He Wears The Number 10 shirt for Italy) De Rossi has a lot of potential but is also erratic however I do believe he has a very bright future. Another player very much in love with Roma. Again he would expect to be a first team regular and I am not convinced he would respond well to the idea of having to battle for a first team place. He would not walk into the Chelsea midfield. 5. Ryan Babel (Still wondering What Frank Arnesen's Job Description Is) As much as we might all disagree a quick look at Liverpool's squad list http://www.uefagames.com/footballeurope ... index.html & I am envious Then I suggest you do a little research. Arnsesen has nothing to do with identifying big money transfers for the first team. 6. Giovani Dos Santos: If he is the next Ronaldinho why not pay his Release Clause of 13.5 million and put him straight in the team maybe as a foil for Drogba Maybe not everyone believes he is - if we bought into the 'Player X is the next Player Y' lines then there would currently be about 27 Maradona's playing for Argentina. Have you seen Dos Santos play? If so then why not provide your reasons why you think he is good enough to walk into our first tean(he isn't walking into Barca's) - if you haven't then maybe you should think twice before falling for the over used media tag lines that certian players get. It all sounds a little too much like FM2007. 7. Wesley Sneijder (This Frank Arnesen dude is a Joke!!) See point 5 - nothing to do with Arnesen. 8. Micah Richards (We have been chasing shadows for the last couple of seasons). Nothing against Belleti but We could have bought Micah For a fraction of what we offered for Daniel Alves and he is a better prospect Richards had his moment last season when he was the current media darling, then he went through an extended period of average form and everyone forgot about silly money tales. Now he has hit a bit of form again and suddenly he is once again a ?20m defender again. I hope Richards does tutn out to be the real deal as England desperately need a good right back however if you think we would get him for a fraction of the money mentioned for Alves you are clearly out of touch with the English trasnfer market. Think there's a few more. I think that within a couple of seasons we will see atleast 3 more youths joining the first team. Mancienne and perhaps Smith for example? But before then the youngsters will have to train hard to become good enough and play for another team to get some experience. In a few years Chelsea will have one of the best youth academies in the world and we will be able to produce our own big talents.

BlueBeard
Players I'd like to see at Chelsea while they're still good: - Gattuso, Klose, Kompany, Kaka - Crespo! Some other players I'd like to see play for Chelsea - Sinclair, Sahar, Mancienne, Cork, Hutchinson, Smith, etc..... Unfortunately, with Mourinho in charge I don't think we'll see any of these players.

Guest
Good joke, but in all seriousness, he was a big Deco fan and gave him alot of leeway to attack while Mourinho was coach of Porto. I think Mourinho's tactics at Chelsea have been partially dictated by the nature of the league here. His generally found that playing an expansive style of play (even if its a very boring counter attacking one) generally works better in the Premiership than a close diamond style formation which he used alot at Porto. Guest
1. Gallas - I know his a pr*ck, but he barely put a foot wrong for us when he played and i'd take him back in a heartbeat 2. Kaka - Mobile, strong, smart and incredibly talented. His the kind of flair player Mourinho would actually play. He is exactly what we have been missing 3. Micah Richards - I think the guy could go on to be as good as Gallas was for us. His got a great future and i'd love for that future to be at Chelsea
The Moos
1. Diego (Werder Bremen) 2. Robben (Real Madrid) 3. Quaresma (FC Porto) Not sure about the last two (One always injured and both amazing divers) but I like the first one. Diego is a great player and he's still young. Creative and good at scoring goals. Exactly what we need
BlueBosnian
Yup, that's why I put him on top of my list, as the top priority. If we were to buy one player I'd want it to be him. He's great! I'm sure he will go to a bigger club than Werder very soon.
