The Moos
Drogba won't play. That's not good news. Considering that I have to say that if Sheva don't get to play I will get on a plane, go to England, look up Grant and kick his ar*e from here to sundown. And don't put him in a 4-5-1. Use your brain, Grant (if he has one that is ) Let's keep our streak running. Another home game without a loss. Let's grab three points here! The Moos
Give me strengthDid you hear that Roman....out with Avi, Moos for manager No, bring someone useful as manager and put me as the advisor who sits in the shadow telling everyone what to do. I'll be the hedonistic b*stard who tells other what to do while making loads of cash. I will tell what men to sign. All models or ex-models (hello Ljungberg). We will play sexy football with sexy players winning everything and have more female supporters than anyone else.
Alan
Apparently Keane is going to rest Gordon for this game and leave him on the bench. If Drogba's knee injury does turn out to be true and he's out I'd like to see us play a 4-4-2: Carlo Beletti JT Alex Bridge Joe Cole Lampard Mikel Kalou Pizzaro Sheva Subs: Hilario, Ben Haim, Maka, SWP, Sidwell. It's about time we use Sheva and Pizarro instead of just throwing them on with 10 minutes left when the game is won. Scorline wise I'm gonna go for a 2-0 win. BLUENUT
I've lived in hope with Sheva. It was like playing with 10 men against Derby. If he starts and doesn't deliver against Sunderland (ala Rosenborg) that will be his lot with me! 2-0 win
Chippy
Certainly is getting hard even for me to back Sheva, I would love to see him come good but wouldn't be surprised to see Kalou between Joey and Sweep. I wouldn't mind seeing Grant give Sheva and Pizzaro a run out together in a 4-4-2 but not sure if Pizzaro will be match fit with the little time he's had, would like to see it though even if only for the first half, or second half if we can get a lead. cyberworm314
I hate to remind you of this, but Grant has always played a 4-3-3 with Cole/SWP winging it and three central midfielders. There's no real choice for central midfield; Lampard, Mikel and either Makelele or Sidwell. At the back, Grant may give Cudicini another start as he has performed well so far. Defense-wise , Belleti Terry Alex Cole is the most likely option. Either Cole or Bridge. I think Grant flips coins to see who he picks. Both are really good marauding full-backs. The question, then, lies in offense. Whether Grant opts for a 4-4-2 (Personally, I feel a 4-4-2 would get us more goals). Because Cole and SWP are both excellent wingers. The latest news seems to be that Drogba isn't going to play. On a side note now, I have no idea why Grant is not granting Pizarro any sort of chance at all. The stats may say that Drogba has as many goals as the other three combined, but you can't expect Pizarro to get goals if you leave him on the bench or in the reserves. I don't believe we've seen the best of Pizarro yet. Let Sheva and Pizarro play, they're [iNTERNATIONAL CAPTAINS] FOR GOD'S SAKE! A 4-3-3 is not a good idea because only one of the four strikers will play, and on paper, Chelsea's strength lies in their attack. So far, it's worked, although since the 6-0 win, Chelsea have been somewhat boring, the Rosenborg game an exception. And the West Ham game was sleep-inducing, but maybe some of the credit for that must go to West Ham. I've made my say, which is in short to go for 4-4-2. I'll be damned if Grant reads this. callista
I know chippy will probably flay me in print but this should be another pretty easy win for Grant and the lads - yet another side on the brink of the relegation zone and struggling to find their feet in the premiership. Sunderland have managed the grand total of 2 points away on their travels and although Drogba is of course a massive loss, the fact we are facing Sunderland should ease concerns considerably. If ever there was a time to have to lose Drogba for a game in December this one would probably be it. Depending which Sunderland decide to turn up tomorrow it will either be one of the following kind of games: A rout - Sunderland collapse and Grant gets to chunter on about how putting 4 or 5 goals past them is proof postive (yet again) of our new attack minded positive football - without admitting just may be Sunderland on the day were utter cack. OR A gritty, dull, grind it out, clinical 1-0 victory - Sunderland find some steel but don't have anything near the quality to really test us ultimately despite lots of last ditch defending. Oh and Grant gets to chunter on about our new attack minded positive football - he just mumbles it more quietly if this result happens. If Grant doesn't play Sheva for at least a sensible amount of time during this game, then I really will believe he has something against him, there is no excuse for not playing him with Drogba out. Well there is an excuse in that he can't hit a cows arse with a banjo most of the time unless the opposition are in a coma - this Grant has immediately recognised so hats off to him for that but he still needs to play him to find out if there is any point in flogging this probable dead horse further. Kalou to start then, Sheva to make a token appearance with 4 minutes to go and Pizarro to be completely ignored yet again. Quite how Grant hopes to find out if Pizarro can cut it to help us out as a back up striker if he hardly ever plays the guy god only knows. Come on Avram, Get Sheva out there and lets see if he can earn his keep for once. Liking the selection of Avram smilies by the way as long as they don't picture his face! The team have had really excellent training on how to play with ten men though you have to say over the last year or so given Sheva's contribution to the cause. Hopefully my lack of faith in him will be shown up tomorrow when he scores.

Come on Avram, Get Sheva out there and lets see if he can earn his keep for once. Maybe Grant just realises that Pizarro can't cut it and thus why bother? If Jose had had the courage to put his faith in Sinclair and/or Sahar this season we wouldn't have Pizarro and Grant wouldn't need to 'find out if he can cut it' I have no idea why Jose wanted to sign Pizarro, he is well below the required standard and has been for seasons before he joie Chelsea. Guest
He fitted the system for which he was bought and was available on a free transfer. I'm not saying he deserves a spot now, but I think he was reasonably good for Chelsea under Mourinho.

superdan
The right selection to start - lots of attacking players and speed up front (and Sheva!). We need a strong and mature performance from Mikel to hold everything together in midfield.
