Jack
I must be watching a different game to the vast majority of the (increasingly younger) posters round these here parts, but if anyone really thinks Dico is the sort of player who will propel us that extra bit forward that we need to win trophies, you are sadly mistaken. Fergie must be pissing his pants at the joke that is our Brazillian No. 20, even moreso than when we gave them £16m or whatever it was for V*r*n! Some of you think he'll be player of the season, others that he's the answer to all our problems. For me, he's the start of all the trouble we will encounter this season. I've watched him over the past couple of seasons and the first few appearances for us confirm for me that the guy is not a team player. He's only interested in making himself look good - yes the tricky, flicky sh*te is back! But what's worse is this guy does it 25 yards from his own goal, the cardinal sin. Against a decent team, losing the ball in your own half is usually fatal. Dico did it 4 times against Lokomotiv the other day. If we'd been playing a decent side like say Sp*rs (yes, now I've got your attention!) and two of those stupid mistakes had been punished, how would he be viewed then? Player of the season? The MAN? Sorry but I pray he gets a knock today so we can play proper footballers in our midfield. Scolari obviously fancies the pants off him, so when Ballack or Frank is sat on the bench and this twat flicks another one to the opposition and then puts his hand up in apology, how are they going to feel? The part of all this that really galls me is that we have the man in the squad to do all the things that Dico does, but do it responsibly and with his heart clearly in the club, and that man is Joey Cole. I fear he will be sidelined more and more as Scolari struggles to incorporate everyone - with Dico as the first name on the teamsheet of course! Ok, debate this among yourselves if you wish. I'm just putting it out there, his lack of professionalism is my defence. Watch the bloke carefully and tell me he's someone you want in your team week in week out. I'm certain that Fergie is delighted that we have a weak, selfish twat in the middle of our team, and maybe Benitez, Wenger and Ramos ain't too unhappy either! I for one am very, very unhappy that we've managed to resurrect the ghost of V*r*n - lets hope he doesn't haunt us for too long.
dreadis
Don't know why you had to go with this post, since it is still only pre-season. But, you cannot deny that Deco is doing well so far!
Guest
Sorry Jack but either your an total idiot or no knowing how to spell "Deco" or an even bigger idiot for coming up with such a childish, pathetic play on words. Your not convinced by him?, fine........your welcome to that opinion, but coming out with stupid nicknames like that just makes you look like a w**ker. I'm 41yo and Ive been on these forums for 5 years since the old CSR. Not once in my 5 years have i seen a post that gave me the urge to slap someone around the chops and shout "WAKE UP" ! Please admit you have not seen much of Deco play, if you fail to admit it, I must come to the conclusion that you are frankly nuts ! Veron is uncomparable with Deco, Deco offers a lower center of gravity, more energy, more strength in ball possesion, more vision. Even with all the class acts we already have at SB, all the players seem to be overly impressed with Decos quality in training. Thats proof enough that Deco is the real deal, especially to those who have obviously not seen him play, EVER ! Seriously Jack, the guy is a super class act, THE top draw, even Zolaesque ! :D
Maksimov
I wanted us to get someone younger than Deco, but now that he's here and I've seen him play, I think he might well be worth the £8mil or whatever we paid for him. At least it looks very promising. He's not the second coming of Zola, and he's not this magical quick fix that is suddenly going to make everything go our way, but I think the team will benefit from having someone like him playing for us as he definitely brings something extra to our play with his skill on the ball and his range of passing. Jack
I can't take any of you seriously, especially the Aussie twat who can't spell or punk-too-ate! Qaz, you are the idiot! Coco, feel free to slap me, and I will remove your testicles with a blunt instrument for having the nerve to even mention Zola in the same post. Feel free to slap yourself in the knackers! dkw - I've just re-read my post. I don't see the word greedy in there anywhere? Is the shift key broken on your keyboard or can you just not be bother with either reading or writing? Ok I'll (note the apostrophe, Qaz and dkw!) let you into a secret. I grew very tired of this place a while back, I re-visit occasionally to try and re-kindle my enthusiasm (or is it to wake you twats up?) but it's become as boring as I'm sure you all are with my posts. The rah-rah-rah approach leaves me cold these days, the blind support, the badge-kissers, the disgusting amounts of money that slosh around, the egos and most of all the bandwagon supporters from here there and everywhere around the globe. It just ain't football anymore, it's a business and a sick and GREEDY one for all that. Deco comes for the dosh and to polish his ego a bit more, and you all fall to your knees open-mouthed ready to suck his dick, hence the play on words some of you took objection to! There - I've had my 15 seconds of fame. Feel free to say "good riddance", or "thank God", and continue to debate the 'shape' of the team till it comes out of your ears. I think we're all being conned by these charlatans who take home more money per week than a family of four do in a year, posing and tatting themselves 'at the end of the day'. I'm tired of the cliches, the utter drivel, the banality of it all. Fergie can shag Ronaldo up the tookers for all I care, it's become a bit of a joke (like you, yes, yes not all at once). For the odd one or two around here who can still put one word after another, I salute you. You should stop all this tittle-tattle and write a book (no I'm serious), but the other 99% need to get out more, and I don't mean for a drink or twenty. Have fun guys. ;)
loz
So why has your bubble burst now Jack? Football has been this way for many seasons now, I don't recall you demonstrating such animosity about it when Jose brought in the likes of Drogba, Carvalho, Ferreira... etc etc. What was it brought them in that made them exempt, in fact what was it Jose himself signed for if not for the biggest pay cheque in the history of football? You have been angry since the day Jose was sacked which is fair enough, but this justification for the anger, for me, doesn't ring true as all those days under Jose when you appeared perfectly content (or at least you didn't voice such vitriol) with many players and a manager who did exactly what it is that has now turned you off the game and what you are attacking Deco for. Scottish-Chelsea
What aload of sh*te. Deco is greedy? from what i've seen from him he picks a pass as soon as he collects the ball. I've seen some sh*te on Hibs forums and Chelsea ones, but this takes the piss..
dkw
and the first few appearances for us confirm for me that the guy is not a team player. i think this intimates your thinking him to be greedy. i love the fact you set up an argument wanting us to debate it, but as soon as we argue against you the debate is wrong, your right and you get aggresive. if thats the way you debate then your absence wont be missed. alos, to start pointing out grammar mistakes is usually the firs sign of a man losing an argument. i say man, when in truth i mean moron..... geezer
Very sad that Jack should feel the need to have a pop at every one here. He is entitled to his opinion but so are others and those opinions don't necessarily have to agree however he may as well add Scott Minto to his list of people he cannot take seriously because Scott is of the same opinion as the majority here and I for one would rather take a balanced professional footballers view than an armchair fan. Maksimov
You won't probably be here to read this Jack, but if all these greedy players and clubs being more about business than football really gets right up your nose, I think you should've been ranting and raving and suggesting people to give blowjobs for the best part of the last fifteen years. It hasn't been just about the football for a long long time, but that doesn't mean people can't still appreciate skillful players who actually know a little more than how to park the bus infront of the goal and how to hoof the ball to row z. All I see here is people who have liked what they've seen in Deco and are optimistic about the coming season. Optimistic about maybe seeing some fluid flowing football at Stamford Bridge and maybe at some other stadiums as well where the Mighty Blues might play on any given day. I'm cautiously optimistic about the coming season. I was upset when Scolari was appointed as the manager and disappointed when Deco was signed, but even with the mostly poor pre-season opponents we've faced, there have been some positive signs in our play. I'm not exactly shouting from the rooftops about us winning the quadruple just yet, but I'm slightly more positive about the coming season than I was before the pre-season. Anyway...you probably won't be here to read that and probably wouldn't bother to do so anyway, but frankly my dear...and so on(you get the picture, I'm sure). I've personally never had any problem with you, mind you, but if if you feel so disgusted about having to rub shoulders with idiots, imbeciles and such here on the forums, I don't see a reason why you should do that. Take care and hopefully you'll find some people who are intellectually up to your standards! Edited August 3, 2008 by Maksimov
WoodmanBlue
Jack You don't like the way football is going, fair enough, then stop watching it (cricket might be a good sport for you) Kicking off at other people's opinions, then don't post them in a forum especially as a new thread Deco being greedy - he had offers from US and Middle East for mega money moves but came here to win trophies and yes he is on some money but that is because Chelsea pay big wages. As for the vast amount of Deco posts and praise is because he IS playing well from the pre-season games I have seen (all bar one) we are excited about the football that is going to play at Chelsea under Scolari and at the end of the day he is a Chelsea player and we are going to get behind him. I like how you make your whole case on "the ghost of Veron" after one pre-season game against Moscow – (good thing you’re not a judge or you would hang people before the oath) "I grew very tired of this place a while back, I re-visit occasionally to try and re-kindle my enthusiasm" - well Jack do us a favour make this one the last visit!!! Only my opinion though

Tim
It's a shame Jack as I actually used to look forward to reading your posts, as they were normally well informed and articulate, but for whatever reason I guess you are fed up with the club/football in general/the forum, so you've decided to call it a day and have seemed very bitter of late. I guess you have your reasons, but like many have pointed out, why choose now to get so angry, when football has been this way for years?
