Gem
Wenger would use him in his correct position and get the best out of him. I'd rather Kalou over Anelka.

What is his best position ? I have watched him for 3 years now and still can't work it out ? Striker - He can't finish Winger - He can't cross or beat a man
Gem
Striker, and given time in that position I believe his finishing would improve. I remember his strike agianst Spuds to make it 3-3... good finish.
just
Striker, and given time in that position I believe his finishing would improve.I remember his strike agianst Spuds to make it 3-3... good finish. Saw Kalou give a recent interview in which he said he preferred to play as a striker and that he was privately learning from one of the best finishers in the game. Unfortunately, it turned out that game was Rugby and he was getting shooting lessons from Jonny Wilkinson! Next time he's lining up a shot Gem have a quick look at the crowd behind the goal. You'll see everyone in row Z is ducking out the way. Edited September 1, 2008 by just
Backbiter
His shooting is on a par with Gronkjaer's crossing and Malouda's dribbling.
PloKoon13
Oh boy... If this transfer went through it would leave us with the formidable striking force of... Didier "Crutches" Drogba Joe "Disappointing" Cole (Caroline Cheese said it so it must be true...) Nicolas "I don't want to be here" Anelka Franco "Toddler" Di Santo and... to top it off... Florent "shi*t" Malouda. I bet they're all quaking in their boots...

We have to love Gronkjaer after his screamer against Scousers i think because we won that game we got into Champs League, correct me if im wrong. mad_mac
You are not wrong Tom, and it could be said that it was the goal that secured Roman taking us over. I doubt he'd have been as interested in us were we not in the CL

TomW
lol. It was delibrate, he thought if he makes it look like a cross the keeper would be confused, and it worked perfectly.

waldron
I saw this on another site, a combination of Kalou and Malouda - wasn't there anyone out there to take these two off our hands by Sept. 1st ? Is Scolari taken in by these two as Grant and Jose were ?
byatt
I have faith in Sala to be honest, he needs to be enocuraged and played up top rather than out wide, i think Felipe can get the best out of him, Malouda on the other hand i've lost all hope for
abramovich
Ah, the infamous Kalouda, the mutant, genetically engineered from the parts of the two Chelsea players who is vastly known for his inability to dribble, cross or put the ball in the net. Yes, we need more of them.
sweet waffle
There's actually already a footballer called Kalouda (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lubo%C5%A1_Kalouda) I've been looking at him on Football Manager but decided against him. Kalou's still learning, where as Malouda is late twenties? Give Kalou a year or two and with consistent playing time, he will be a recognised centre forward, at least, I hope so... Mr Chelsea
kalou just lacks confidence i reckon if he was played as often as lamps and Jt then he would be a force to be reckoned with a game here and a sub appearance there doesnt do any player any good, and it shows with kalou he isnt the best defensivley granted but he's a tryer, which is more than can be said for florence malouda. ok malouda isnt a regular either but he doesnt even try when he's on the pitch
TheWestwayWonder
Pair Kalou with Drogba for about 5 games and I bet he finds something to show us. He is that small, slippery striker we have lacked who can successfully play off a targetman. If confidence is all he needs, then Scolari is the man to find it under. ozboy
I completely disagree that Kalou can't beat a man. He consistently runs round people at the top of the penalty area and his short passing game is pretty good. I'd like to see him on the park to start with, use his pace to run to tire the defence and then bring JCole on later to finish them off. Shooting is another matter. He won't have a future at any of the big four clubs if he doesn't learn to take his chances.
