Patrick has been released by Wigan and returned to the bridge by mutual agreement between the 3 parties...never got any playing time so what was the point. All the young players need to play on a regular basis at the very least in the Championship.

Figueroa was one of their best players, why we sent him there in the first place is a mystery.
Will be interesting to see whether he goes back out again or whether Bertrand goes and PVA gets 6 months here, like last season.

Josh McEachran
Midfield
Swansea City - 6 month loan, until end of 2011/2012 season
Josh has moved to Swansea for the rest of the season to hopefully get some game time and come back next year stronger, ala Sturridge. He'll find it difficult though, with Swansea's midfield being pretty good, but I would hope Rogers wouldn't have loaned him if he wasn't planning to use him quite a lot.

Patrick Van Aanholt
Defender - Left Back
Vitesse Arnhem - 6 month loan until end of 2011/2012 season
13/11/2011 - Made 4 appearances so far, 3 in the league 1 in the league cup. Struggling to get in front of Figuero at LB, and apparently may have had a falling out with the manager, according to their fans and twitter. So who knows what's going on over there.
17/12/2011 - Hasn't featured on the pitch or on the bench since the last update.
17/01/2012 - Patrick has now moved to Vitesse Arnhem after a disappointing spell with Wigan, in which he barely featured. Sure the last chance he has now to save his Chelsea career, what with Cole & Bertrand ahead of him, and rumours of us signing a new LB. http://www.chelseafc...2580292,00.html

Fine don't move it.
Josh McEachran
Midfielder
Swansea City - 6 month loan
Some Swansea Fan's opinions on Josh so far:
He did ok
Nothing special but ok
Too early to judge the lad
Needs a few games
Josh was ineffectve and looks like a waif.
He needs several large meals and plenty of guinness .
Otherwise he will be shoved around.
I thought McEachran was woeful in the first half but really came into it in the second half. He could have been a bit more confident and shot a few times but he'll fit right into our system if he keeps that up
McEachran can keep the ball but there's no goal threat with him.

Nice work BlueSkies.
Not really surprising. At this stage he is tidy but not gamebreaking. This is why i presume he is on loan rather than staying here.
Good luck to him though, hope he does well and improves.

Happy for Courtois an Europa League winner and Athletico get to defend it next season. Reckon we should leave him there for another season before loaning him out to a PL team.

Question is though, how long will we be able to keep him loaned out and acting as backup to Cech, before a big club comes in with the lure of first team action? Cech has been veyr good this year, so I can't see him being displaced soon. It'll be a tough one for whoever is in charge (and whoever is in charge 6 months later, etc...)

Kalas with a bomb for the first goal, great celebration. Vitesse won 3-1, apparently Kalas and PVA both played well.
