Now I think of it, it was a horrible performance overall that was saved by our attackers. We had so little of the ball and if Brighton had Mitoma and Welbeck, I think we would have lost that game. The amount of times we lost duels and the amount of times Brighton were on to the 2nd ball after we cleared it was concerning. Brighton are a good side, but they're not the top. We shouldn't be dominated on the ball and relying on counter attacks at home against teams that are expected to finish around mid table if we're going to be serious this season.

If we mess this up and sign nobody, it brings our transfer window down to a 3 or 4 for me, just because it will absolutely destroy our season. Fulham and Brighton were a disaster off the ball in these first two games, our front 3 being in great form saved us big time. Our midfield as it stands is w**k. Caicedo out for who knows how long, Enzo likely f**king off to City, old man Henderson who is injured, Lavia who is probably moments away from another injury, Barco who is untested at this level, James who isn't a midfielder and is another injury waiting to happen. The way I see it is that we currently don't have a midfield. We have been sitting on this problem all summer when it should have been a priority.

Kone is more physical than Camara and would bring more steel to the midfield. Camara seems more technical though so I'm not sure what the hell we're doing...

Kone to Chelsea Gittens to Roma Gibbs-White (or another top flexible AM) to Chelsea I'd me more than happy with this, although it's pretty unlikely Forest would consider selling MGW this late in the window.

It all happened so quickly - signing for Chelsea and straight into the team with virtually no training or acclimation at all. Beyond that, stepping into a heavily criticized position at the club, surrounding by drama. Great debut. The team defending and lack of concentration was woeful at times. His character showed very quickly, and in a matter of weeks, if not days, I think he'll be yelling at the defenders ahead of him to do their jobs!

If Alonsos main system was a 4231 MGW would be a good addition to play alongside Palmer and Rogers. With us being a back 3 team now though MGW would end up as a sub most likely. He cannot play in the pivot alongside Caicedo, neither could Palmer or Rogers. He would give us our best sub option for Palmer or Rogers I feel, but I don't see why he moves for that. We ideally need 2 midfielder rather than adding to the attack. If it is Kone then so be it, but we need to get Camara over the line as well. The fact Caicedo being injured has meant relying on Lavias legs not giving out and pairing him with Reece and Gusto is a huge red flag. We need 2 actual center midfielder Imo
