  9. xabi is clearly trying to get us to be more physically.. looking at the signings .. Morgan physical .. pelestra physical.. lacuoix physical ., Wharton physical..
  10. Have always been able to count on Arsenal to reimburse our coffers a little over the past seasons (Havertz Madueke) so who knows, with cash to burn from the Rogers No Go, maybe Arteta is currently sat going through his collection of Pedro Neto Videos lol
  11. “As of yet “ Why add those three words? Fernandez himself made it clear that he was leaving talks re his future till after the WC. From tomorrow on I personally expect the market to really get going.

  16. Anyone, as I said most top clubs can wipe their arse on 50 mill it's no big deal. If not move on to our next dud.
  17. I don’t think there is a market for him, and the club acknowledged today that there has been no offer. “Chelsea sources said in the aftermath of Enzo Fernandez's exploits against England that they have received no approaches from rivals to open talks on their midfielder as of yet.” "Chelsea are just as comfortable in football and financial terms with Enzo Fernandez staying. And if he stays and the window shuts, then you would think that all parties would move towards a contract extension." That 2nd paragraph is pure delusion. He has been priced out of the market as a world class midfielder, which he isn’t. The idea that he will sign a new contract when the window closes is funny. He wants £300k/w which they won’t pay, he will just throw out his toys and pull the same move next summer.
  18. While I know many on here have asked for all the directors, bar Dave Fallows, to be sacked, am left scratching my head as to what they actually offer for BlueCo not only to keep them employeed, but also give them huge raises. Does anyone know what they actually do? Because the Morgan Rogers deal once more points out they are not trusted to deliver the big deals. I mean was it not widely reported that Winstanley and Stewart tried, and failed, to deliver Enzo so Eghbali personally stepped in at the 11th hour to make that happen? Did not the exact same thing happen with Caicedo and Liverpool almost gazumping us? Now it is reported Eghbali, with Alonsos help, stepped in and, in the space of just 24 hours, turned Rogers from Arsenal, who were in the middle of both discussing a 100mill deal with villa and personal terms/role with Rogers, and in that short spell Eghbali got the deal done with Villa and Alonso/Palmer got Rogers to say yes to us. So it sounds like our 2 main directors were not involved at all, completely sidelined, not trusted to get the job done. So what do they offer then if they are not even trusted for the important things? Why do they still have jobs? Have we taken away transfers from their job discriptions? On the other director, Joe Shields, seems like he is the most trusted doesn't it? All these ex city players and his connect mates in jobs by hanging his hat on the success of Cole Palmer. Has he done anything, other than Palmer, but decimate our coaching staff with none football people and provide failed signings like Delap and Lavia?
  19. Cheers Maresca. That spare £17m came in handy. Him flirting with City just a great outcome. He’s gone. Alonso in. Rogers in. Moving way better in the market vs telling every journalist what we’re eating that day.
  20. ITK’s take with a huge grain of salt now. Could very well get an Antonio Silva bomba tomorrow.
  21. While we haven't managed to keep the shroud of secrecy over our actual interest in him, like we managed to with Palestra and Rogers, though our long term interest in the latter was reported as far back as when he scored for Boro against us in the league cup, it seems us and Palace are getting close to an agreement: The above seems to be somone who gets more right than wrong regarding Chelsea matters. Still time for Pool or Arsenal if they really want Lacriox but they would need to move quickly.
  22. Selling Gusto for £60m and getting Hall for £60m would actually force me to apologise
  23. From who? Like Fernandez there has been no interest, just an assumption that City with a better player Nunez will need competition. Tiny problem is the market is flush with RBs.
  24. Famous last words from me but I don’t rate this signing. Very happy to prove me wrong but we have had our pants pulled down well and truly, good player but not particularly exceptional at anything. He wouldnt start for me if we played with 2 number 10s. I agree it’s football and the fees are absurd, I wouldn’t have paid 80 for him. Makes Gordon’s deal to Barca look like a bargain.
  25. Imagine, Crystal Palace go and sign Lecroix or whatever teh guys name is, they get him at a reasonable price, imagine if we had been in for him when palace signed him... we would be paying nearly twice the price. the stupid transfers simply exist because there are stupid owners willing to pay them. Our transfers have maxed out the credit card and the ability to purchase players before they show potential... We sell our players with potential and replace them with more expensive players showing potential. The club is well and truly f**ked if Alonso cant get thie sqaud going.
  26. To be fair not playing is the best way to not get injured.
  27. But we said then when they went balls deep over Fernandez. We have then had a pretty uninspiring time of it as a club throughout his tie with us, with a couple of high-ish points, and although it might not happen there is a still a fair chances that they will sell him and get their money back. This isn't teh issue becuase as @dkw says it just moving inconceivable numbers around the same group of owners and investors. The issue is that whilst it benefits those lower teams because it raises the floor as well as the ceiling, it still doesn't go down far enough, so there is still starvation of funds in the lower divisions. This market and this game died the moment it allowed non sporting owners and speculators, like the frauds that we have
  28. And Trev blocking Dembeles shot a minute before he actually shoots. Morgan Rogers is a great start but our defense is in desperate need of a overhaul.
  29. How much of an impact has Dave Fallows been? We are moving night/day differently. No one knows what we’re doing and all “ITK”s haven gotten it completely wrong. Palestra and Rogers came out of no where, along with Cucurella/Santos sales.
  30. A. You are probably great at spending your wife's money. b. Does it? c. Glad you think that d. Genuinely feel sorry for you if you think the WC isnt capable of being rigged by a governing body that has been repeatedly proven corrupt over decades. Pick up a book and read about it I just dont see value for players over 45/50 million. I dont believe the market is sustainable at these prices and where do players come from before theyre 100+ million. Academys, scouting and understanding of the game and what makes a top footballer. We've spunked 1.5 billion working this out and have a squad of unsellable players. Hope Rogers becomes the new lampard.
  31. I actually thought it would be £55m for Gusto to go and the same paid to Palace for Lacroix. That old UEFA parity between monies in and out thing.
  32. Bouaddi and Diomande were quoted over £100m. Liverpool had their bid even rejected. Yet we are getting a PL proven young player that immediately improves the team for a similar amount. Thats the market.
  33. Let's also forget, whilst criticising Lacroix for his performance in the wooden spoon match, that our marauding 7 stone (when dripping wet) useless French right back gave away the penalty that effectively won England the match and then tried to feign cramp in an attempt to excuse his woeful defending. WE rate this bloke at £75m!
