Danny Welbeck
Wasn't convinced when we signed him yet credit to him for taking his chances. Good also to have an alternative for Pedro.

So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
Poch couldnt open a bottle with the bottle opener and if he could, he'd bottle opening it. The usless C**t

Poch moaning but perfectly ok with the USA president overturning a red card for one of his players. Selective outrage

Danny Welbeck
Knew he'd be a reliable signing. Welbeck - 3 goals in 3 games. Delap - 2 goals in 41 games.

Twat didn’t even stop to consider why none of the Top 6 clubs are kicking up a fuss. Our “undisclosed payments” to agents and offshore accounts are the exact same grey‑area dealings every major club in Europe relies on, and the last thing any of them want is someone poking around their books.

Vintage Blues pictures and film
Still legal in 2026. Ask Gabriel.

Valentin Barco our Ginger Argentinian
Big mistake but love the way he responded, didn't hide and showed an impressive attitude/character/mentality in all he did. Have to admit to being one of those that were really upset with Santos being sold, however although early days this guy seems as good as or even better from box to box perspective, do like his ability to spot a pass and his range of passing also. Don't think his size will be a problem will give as good as he gets in that respect it seems and a little like Wisey in small but physical side of things possibly.

Seriously Poch can go f**k himself. I actually defended him more than most here when he was coaching, but these comments are a step too far for me.

20 Years! 20 years?
Has the site gone back to 56k to celebrate the 20 years? It’s been so slow lately, couldn’t even get on here during the match.

Ignore List
Life here is so much nicer when you block all the people that are obviously just here to argue. They will now all quote this posting arguing that they’re not one of them.

Jamie Gittens joins Chelsea
Next summer, his book value will be £35m. They'll be able to shift him off easily, imo.

Could do with a couple more inches but who here hasn't dreamed of same?
-
Morgan Rogers
Looking better than he ever did at Villa where he, by design, choice, whatever, played off the left. Now has a licence to roam.

Lofty's Wall of Sound - What are you listening to?
Frankie was 14. His voice hadn't yet broken. Exploited, ripped off as many black performers of the day were. Overdosed on heroin at 26.

Alex Scott
I'm saying this for months here. Zubimendi or Scott would not work IMHO because we are not controlling football matches that much, nor we will anytime soon. Under Alonso we will need to defend the transition a lot and, if fit, James is as good as any other midfielder in this world next to Caicedo. It's a big IF, but once Caicedo is back and James stays fit, people will be amazed at how good they are together. James will grow into that role as long as his muscles allow it. He has all the tools to play that role.

Jamie Gittens joins Chelsea
Even if we were to loan him really don't see what how loan outside of the premier League would really help him, another season playing in a less challenging physical environment in which he may do ok (as per in Germany) but comes back in the Pre and think he will face exactly the same issues as he does now. Just think any loan has to be in the Prem, have to know if he can cut it in this league or not playing regularly. if not then might as well sell rather than constant loans to Leagues which no nothing to prepare or help him adapt to the Premier League

Loved that about Barco yesterday. Had an awful game in parts, were to blame for a goal directly but didn’t hide and got his reward in the end. Thats how you make it at the highest level
-
Morgan Rogers
Really like Rogers as a player and also his personality. That interview with Rogers and Palmer after the game was comedy gold! The fact they are such good mates and love playing their football together really comes across. Signing Rogers was a great move as he's a real asset and also hopefully means Palmer will stay with us for a long time too. If Real Madrid ever come sniffing, they will have to have enough money to sign both!

Mentality questionable as you say just looks terrified some of the time. Compare that to Barco - made an error which was costly however put it behind him, didn't hide and showed great heart, determination and character in an impressive performance.

I think his only chance to make it here is if we start playing a 4-2-3-1 and Rogers gets a bad injury. Maybe not even then. Looks like a player who desperately needs to be a big fish in a small pond somewehere, I'd be flabbergasted if he's not loaned somewhere in January

So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
Poch just dropped to 40th in the manager list now overtaken by Rafa and Villas-Boas. Still above Liam Rosenior though.

Poch has history with lemons.

Honestly felt Watson did well. A silly foul to get the booking right before half time that meant he had to come off regardless, but overall think he left a very favourable impression. On me, at least

Chelsea vs Hull City (PL) Saturday 12th September 15:00 GMT
This, but I'd play Colwill instead of Hato here simply for more aerial presence, as I can only assume Hull have one game plan in mind.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2026/sep/10/chelsea-2016-17-premier-league-title-tottenham-mauricio-pochettino There's got to be a sour grapes/bowl of lemons joke to be made here, surely? Also ‘The title should be for the team that was second’ should be Tottenham's motto.
