Might want to add Mikel in that list as well. Against manchester united in the CoCup, Mikel filled in when Luiz lost the ball but ended up playing Chicarito onside. An aware DM who is not lazy in movements is what we need.

I am afraid that does not make a good reading for Mikel. I think we all agree that our better performances/results were under RDM (24 points in 12 games vs 31 in 17 games). Our results (points wise) have been better without Mikel in the team ( 28 points in 16 games with him vs 27 points in 13 games without). So Mikel played most of his games under the better manager/during the better phase and still we do better in games he did not start.

Yes, Ramires the ball-winner along with a deep lying play-maker should sort our midfield.

He may not have had the best of the seasons but has been our best midfielder (not counting the AMs). He offers mobility and urgency which we miss out with Mikel and Lampard. He is the only one among the three that can be considered a ball winner. His first touch, physique have let him down a number of times this season but he makes up for those downsides.

not really when you consider he has been everywhere for us and is consistently amongst the top performers in every game we have played.
