  1. Unbelievable. This free scoring can't go on but it must have an effect on teams when they play us - the fact that they could be on to a real hiding plays on their minds. There's one or two jitters at the back but going forward we look absolutely fantastic. Two games, six points, 12 goals, none conceded. You can't really ask for more :)
  2. A 2-0 win, but not a fantastic performance is my gut feeling at the moment.
  3. From my experience it's pretty good. I'm glad they have been banned, my hearing has been saved.
  4. Eight of our starting line up and six of our substitutes were under 21. We were playing the runners-up in the Dutch league, who are ahead of us in their pre season preparations and played their first team. It's only pre season, I'm not worrying. When we put five past Milan two years ago that didn't mean we were going to sweep all before us did it?
  5. I have to admit I was surprised when I heard this on the radio, I'd prepared myself for the prospect of him turning out in a Spurs shirt next season. He'll get regular football at Liverpool and if that's his prime motivation for moving there then good luck to him. As much as I love Joe I don't think we'll miss him a great deal. Malouda has developed into one of our best players and he was brilliant last season. Plus, Anelka's penchant for dropping back produces some fantastic link up play. In Carlo I trust!
  6. A good run out for the team, great to see so many young players given a chance. Di Santo needs to buck his ideas up, because based on that showing he wont be around for much longer.
  7. Essien for sure, it was great to see him back in action. Bertrand, Sinclair and van Aaholt impressed me. Clifford made a few neat and incisive passes when he came on, and Matic had a decent, if unspectacular, game. He's a tall guy and I think that will work to his advantage when he gets a chance in the first team this coming season. *Edit: And McEachran of course. He's quite small and slight but he looks very lively and his touch to set up Essien was fantastic.
  8. Plus, didn't Mikel play as an attacking midfielder for Nigeria at one point? I seem to remember watching him play there when there was the kerfuffle about his signature.
  9. Managed to get tickets. My little cousin is over from Ireland and he went mad when he found out he was going to Wembley :)
  10. I've never been to the Community Shield before (usually due to holidays) but I'm going to try and get tickets this year. I've just had a look at how many loyalty points I've got and they've almost doubled since the last time I checked!
  11. That was quick - my tickets arrived in the post this morning :)

I'm slightly underwhelmed by this signing, but I'll reserve full judgement and see how he gets on. My feeling at the moment is that Ancelotti has one or two higher profile signings up his sleeve.
  13. Same, I was put in the holding area but didn't have to wait too long.
  14. Got my ticket this morning. Lovely
  15. Ticket details have been released. As you say RegRabid there should be a good atmosphere and I'm really looking forward to it. Palace fans will be in good spirits now that the club is on a surer footing. I know a few of the guys in the Holmesdale Fanatics down there and went to the protest at Selhurst Park - most of them didn't think they would survive.
  16. The pitches seem to be deteriorating as well. The pitch during the Uruguay v South Korea game was abysmal in places.
  17. Agree with you Loz. Didn't he only get one goal while he was there?
  18. England 1-2 Germany Mexico 1-2 Argentina
  19. A good point, but the citizenship rules have been relaxed in the past ten years so it's up to them really. As for what's going to happen tomorrow, god knows. I just hope it's a good game. I'm slightly erring towards wanting Germany to win, purely because I've got a £10 bet with a mate and I also got them in a sweepstake. Just to be clear, I have nothing against England, honest!
  20. Inevitably a Facebook group has sprung up. Some of the pictures are genius.
  21. Palace are pretty local to me (my old secondary school is 10 minutes up the road) plus I know loads of Palace fans so it's a game I've been looking forward to for a while. It should be a great day.
  22. Great news, quality player - his link up play at times is superb.
  23. It is indeed. I guess the club will ease in the players that have played in the later stages of the World Cup (doesn't look like there will be too many!)
  24. I've been searching around for ticket info for this but can't seem to find anything. Is there any information about when tickets go on sale?
  25. Alan replied to Andreas's topic in Entertainment
I'm tempted to get one, ditto with an iPad. The thing is I don't NEED to buy one, I'll try and resist the temptation. The signal problem would affect me as well because I'm left handed.
