Going back to the Mata red card, I was quite interested with a quote from LVG. He said that "The referee has to know the person who makes the tackle," and "Mata never hurts an opponent." Though I still love the little guy and i'm sure Mata really never intends to hurt anyone, a tackle is a tackle and a yellow card offense deserves a yellow card. To me it is absolutely wrong to take into consideration "who the person" that committed the foul is, because it stops the ref from looking at things objectively and give a fair call. IMO that is one of the huge problems our players are facing...apparently everyone in football thinks we're a bunch of divers and cheats and that any separate occasion cannot be seen objectively. We actually do lose a lot of calls (whether penalties or otherwise) and it has a lot to do with how most view us.

Steering the thread away from liverpool a bit... Looks like theres rumours going around that Zaha will be shipped off united one season after they bought him, and although at the time there was alot of hype surrounding the lad, theres next to no attention to him now. It might be one of two reasons, either he's not good enough for manure, OR cause of that rumored "bed bunking" with Moyes' daughter (which to my surprise didnt get ANY media attention whatsoever at the time) I can see Moyes never playing him cause of that

Most of the people in my league have similar teams too...I'm second in my league, and I'm taking risks more often just to try and topple the guy above me. Its annoying that when I get a good week of 70+ points, he gets it too

What was the name of that West Brom lad with the funny hair? I'd give it to him I thought the whole team was quite poor to be honest, and really saw the draw from the first half. Voted for willian cause I thought he looked the busiest and probably most consistent for us in the match

In the middle east and especially in the Gulf region its mostly Barca and Real, closely followed by Man U and (recently) Bayern. You'd find a few Chelsea fans here and there but from what I see the numbers of those is similar to liverpool and Arsenal fans (and AC Milan and Juventus)

Thats a strong team. Only real problems imo areDzeko isn't a guaranteed starter and if we concede a goal you lose a CS from both Cahill and Azpi (Flip side if we keep a CS you get more points, but I'm not the type to take risks like that)

Just added Sterling to my team, so cheap and can get a goal/assist especially with the form liverpool is in. Not sure who to add as striker though.

To be brutally honest, City tapped more into the corporate side of the middle east more than your normal fans. Manu, Barca, and Madrid are all MUCH MUCH more popular here (Even liverpool surprisingly), and you'll still find the occasional Italian league supporter. Like most countries, the middle east has its glory hunters (Bayern fans increased at a cringe worthy rate in the last 2 years..) but you will find lots more loyal hardcore supporters. I really don't see or know many Man City fans but maybe its cause I surround myself with the right kind of football fans

City are on fire at home, so much squad depth and quality. I really hope we win this... The only hole I see in their deep squad is Demichelis

One of those days. Their plan worked and credit to them. It was one of the most frustrating matches I've seen in a while. I didn't think anyone was bad in particular but we were very wasteful to say the least. They came in and fought with everything they had, and imo got very lucky with a point.

I actually like to see Mikel shoot. Recently he's been getting himself into a very good and open position when it comes to forward play, and most opponents know that when its mikel, its not really dangerous cause this guy doesn't score, opening and giving him even more of a clearing towards goal. He had a few shots yesterday which were pretty tame, but tbh most of the team were guilty of that. Yesterday was just one of those days...

I'm sure many opposition fans come to this forum, see how alot of chelsea fans react over mata, and just laugh. I saw comments nitpicking faults in anything mata-related (He's slow, short, ugly) but lets be honest he was and still is a very good player (and a handsome bar steward). He did well with us and I expect he'll do well with manure. I really wish him all the best in the future and I don't blame him or mourinho for leaving. he gave us alot of great memories and great goals, its just a shame he couldn't continue giving us more.

Haha I get what you mean, I never really gave those games a fair chance to begin with. Theres so many games to play now and I'm just trying to catch up. I STILL didn't finish Last of us, Tomb Raider, even Batman Arkham City!

We have a couple of young players coming along but Moses is a decent squad player like mentioned above, besides its not like he's old, he's still 23 with alot of PL experience, he can improve and the few chances we gave him here he payed us back with a few good goals (Late goal against shakhtar)

Haven't got around to playing mass effect yet, I'm not a big fan of all these shoot'em up games, and theres ALOT of them now. although I do appreciate they have a huge fan following. Fall out, Bioshock, Far Cry, the game play all seems similar to me...

Not just those, you can find emulators for ps1, gameboy advance and even Wii now. I have nes, snes, megadrive emus and play them quite often for nostalgia's sake lol, can't get enough of that 8-bit or 16-bit music

Anybody still playing? I just bought aguero again, had to get rid of Yaya and giroud. Januzaj is soooo cheap so I recommend you guys add him to the team, he's gonna score/assist soon i just know it! Most of my team is playing away so i'm expecting a low score this week
