Don't understand why we would need another cb, heard a few people say that, we have terry Cahill fist choice, Ivan, who after the arrival of luis, is gonna be the best back up cb in our league (IMO). Zouma who looks an exciting prospect and will probably be given a few chances in the cup and Ake who can cover if we're desperate. We definitely don't need a back up cb or we would have kept kalas and I don't see many cb's that would come in to be better than what we have. To answer the original post I'd love pogba but think we're dreaming. We have matic for longer this year and have added a striker who looks to be an improvement, that alone would of won us the league last year, add to that the experience and quality of luis and Fabregas and we look even better, if no more business is done ill be confident.

I mentioned in another post that the cost of cavani and costa could be less than what Suarez went for I don't even think its much money. IF we could shift lukaku, even for 10-15 mil, then get in cavani we will of had probably the best transfer year (winter 13/14 + summer 14) that anyone has ever had, getting big money for expendable players and brining in stars for little expenditure. Plus the main reason I'd be in for cavani is that costa worries me, Torres mark 2 with his injury, so why not hedge our bets with two of the best strikers over the last few years. I'd even be happy for Torres to see out his contract of the bench knowing he is third choice to a couple of stars.

The worst thing BT had was Mark Hasley on the sideline talking about decisions, even when they were clear: 'so mark why did they give they throw in to Chelsea?' Chelsea City Arsenal United Do have a feeling that one of united or arsenal might flop. Arsenal getting good payers but look to be the same as last year but improved, still don't see a strong unit ready for massive games. united still need a few signings to go but even then who knows how they'll fit together. I can see teams attacking against Man U after their last season, thinking they are beatable but this season they'll be stronger defensively and better on the break.

Lukaku fails to realise is that a managers position at Chelseas is always precarious, I don't think Jose could risk backing him last year, we all know the lack of chances for young talent to break into the first team, so we had little chouce but to look for a number one striker, we didn't get who we wanted and ended up its eto'o. If we hadn't of brought anyone in and Lukaku worked out it would of been brilliant but I'd imagine the board would of had some questions if Lukaku wasn't playing well, lets not forget at this point he only had a season at west brom on his cv. The same can be said for last year as will be said for this year, that if Lukaku really thinks he is a top draw striker he should want to fight for his place, it shouldn't matter who we bring in, he should have the belief that he will get the number one spot. He is still young so what would one year fighting for in his place at Chelsea do, if he's good enough hell be moved up the pecking order, if he's no hell get his move away and we can all walk away knowing we gave it a go at least. My worry is that he doesn't want to be a Chelsea legend, he just wants to be talked about wherever he plays and he doesn't want to put the real effort in that it takes to be world class.
