  1. 2008 We played four games in 12 days. Three league games and a champions league second leg against Fenerbache.
  2. They're remaking the film Porky's. All the leads get the pox it's called Pork Scratchings.
  3. Mick Harford scored a blinder. It was the first time keepers couldn't handle the ball from a backpass. Beasant made a terrible hash of a clearance leaving the Oldham player an empty goal and it was in the last bloody minute.
  4. Yes good shout with Tambling mate.
  5. This is great. A Mickey Droy towering header, John Dempsey's Max Wall hairstyle. The marking at 2.50 has to be seen to believed God knows how today's pundits would react to it. Ian Hutchinson's throws are our best asset and Alan Hudson playing for Stoke.
  6. Shellito and Bonetti are the only ones I recognise.
  7. Do what we all do son and just support the team. This is a forum about Chelsea not the Dow Jones Index.
  8. Has anyone seen Rectify?. It's quite slow paced but it's brilliantly acted by all the cast and it's funny and moving. Here's a brief synopsis. Rectify follows the life of Daniel Holden upon his release from jail after serving nineteen years on Georgia's Death Row before DNA evidence disputed the State's original case. Holden, who was only eighteen years of age when convicted and sentenced to die for the brutal rape and murder of a sixteen year old girl, returns to his family and to his hometown where the murder occurred and where many still believe he is guilty. Daniel spent all of his adult life waiting to die. Now he must learn how to live again or decide if he even wants to while others choose whether or not he will have that chance.
  9. Is that just you philosophising about Plato playing or have we signed an old Greek guy?
  10. Cahill in May last year became the fastest player in Premier League history to win all five possible major club trophies. It took him a little over three years to clinch winners' medals for the FA Cup, Champions League, Europa League, League Cup and Premier League.
  11. He said ''19-5-2012 I was there and none of these sad acts in front of me will ever experience that''.
  12. Got a couple of mates who know touts etc. Chelsea here Chelsea there Chelsea my age can't wait. Get to our age and the days of getting your pals together and not in front of a pub t.v. almost welling up.
  13. A lot to enjoy in this one, some good shots of the Shed, a weird Dads Army type arrow at 5.40 after Keith Weller's superb goal presumably to show who was to blame for the goal. But best of all is David Coleman's no nonsense commentary a sort of cross between a strict headmaster and disappointed dad.
  14. Yes your right the 69-70 was when Arsenal are in the Shed there's a photo of it. My neighbour a Gooner who was a lot older then me used to delight in showing me it.
  15. Godfred Donsah what a brilliant name.
  16. 3.12 Arsenal fans looks like there in the Shed a bloody horrible sight.
  17. Infamous yellow paint in the Shed day ?.
  18. Remember this so well can't believe it's 35 years ago.
  19. 18 secs what Chelsea is all about well at least to us of a certain vintage.
  20. Northstand being rebuilt, Coventry away kit the following year the same but in brown one of the worse kits ever until possibly our mid 90's monstrosity.
