  1. Cannot replace an Eden Hazard. I'm less terrified than you for that side. Alonso is my biggest concern.
  2. 95% of teams are f*cked in some way if they lose two starters
  3. I've always said that a good manager, especially at a club like Chelsea with it's current players, probably won't need to buy too many (if any players) to be competitive. Conte has come in, used Moses, used Chalobah, has Aina ready to come in if need. I'm just speculating here but I think he would be more the willing to use the players we already have on a our books if there is an issue than spending. CB was a huge issue at the start of the year, and a player needed to be bought, which he did. But in other positions he has reinvented players and actually "coached" them with his methods. Babe had some iffy moments, I think Alonso has been 10X worse.
  4. Couldn't disagree more. Has been exceptional for most of this season, was excellent a few years ago for us, was pretty good (and regular) in Liverpool's 'almost' season and was very good at Wigan.
  5. If the man can't see the performances of Alonso and change his mind then he's weak. I'm sure he can.
  6. Moses didn't set the world alight on loan.
  7. ACL's have always been a 12 month injury. If anything he is ahead of schedule. It's also (like all injuries) susceptible to happening again and considering it's a 12 month injury, no point in rushing.
  8. Don't think we were working the 3-5-3 in summer? Don't think he's seen him play in that form ever. And presumably he's a real human that can think otherwise once more information is available to him (Alonso's performance in the PL).
  9. Bring back Baba please.
  10. Costa for me. I refuse to sit by and let anyone say Alonso is better than Baba.. He is championship standard at MOST. Appalling defensive ability. Think the defense still needs work, Cahill won't cut it in the CL if we make it. Everyone rates Gary Neville, well he finally said something along the lines of "Alonso has totally abandoned his defensive duties this half". I think if Gary watches us a few more times, he'll put Alberto Moreno ahead of him in terms of PL LB's. I'm sure of it.
  11. Having watched the highlights a few times over and spoken to blokes in the pub who I know despise Chelsea and hearing they're praise of the game. This is getting higher and higher in my books. Even in some of our bigger wins, the opposition had shots. We destroyed an in form team.
  12. I'm certainly the opposite to that. I support the club. Top down. Edit: In no way do I support the actions of the person involved in the crime here, just making that 100% if it wasn't presumed.
  13. I'm getting pretty sick of people/media talking about players being "out of form" or that they're time at a club was poor and they "flopped" when they are confined to the bench the whole time. As an example, I don't consider Falcao a Chelsea flop nor was he out of form. The guy simply never played and when he did it was for 5 minutes. I'm not saying give them 10+11 games to figure it out, 3-5 in a row is probably a good indicator of form, but also of their role in the team. Pedro always had quality but he's never had a run, thus players don't know where he's good and what he can do. He had a decent go when he first got here but the whole team struggled. I would say when Willians form was exceptional it was actually telling for the opposite reason. It' a team game, and players need to link together to create chances. Willian was playing well without much support. Very hard to do when you're in the dumps.
  14. I'm suspect on Amrobat and I think Holebas has been playing above himself, the only reason he isn't getting in the team is because Watford have been playing really well. We can't go hauling out our loaned players just because they are adding competition for places and their team is playing well.
  15. They play the same formation as us, with a coach from the same country as us, but who have a more realistic chance of playing him than us. Keep him there, he'll work his way in
  16. He's one of the biggest passengers I've seen in a while. Hope he improves everything.
  17. I'd pick Baba over Alonso
  18. My thoughts exactly, I barely even think about them. They're a joke
  19. I don't remember Matic being part of the attack in any of our chances or make any decisive tackles. He was a person to pass to and a persona to pass it off, but nothing more. Alonso had a couple of the worst attacking balls/shots you will ever see from a premier league player, simply has no right foot and is very predictable. The formation allows him to get in space, but he was out of position a few times when defending. If he is going to get into those advanced positions then he needs to be better, if not, he needs to stay back and defend the counter. I know we won and are in great form, however if you are not always looking to improve then when the time to call on your bench, you're left with players who haven't played football for 5+ weeks. I'll back Conte though. Just my thoughts.
  20. Kenedy is literally Watford's best player and can't even get off the bench.
  21. You've got Willian instead of Chalobah in there. I voted Moses. Despite it being another clean sheet, I thought that was one of our more fragile defensive games for a few weeks. If Traore had made better decisions a few times we might have been in trouble. Ramires had Dave for pace a few times as well, Kante even't had to pull out the 6th gear to get back. Alonso is left footed and that's about it. I personally think there is something to be said about Chalobah, Cesc or Oscar coming in for Matic. I was Matic's biggest fan, but to me, he is now just a figure on the park. He passes backwards and only backwards and lays 0 tackles.. We could be creating 3,4,5 more chances a game if we have someone with a bit more vision in central midfield whislt still remaining defensively solid. Cesc is patient, he goes backwards if he has to , but he can also look out for a pass, Matic can't or wont. Doubt Chalobah would get the nod in a derby.
  22. The month of November is cursed That's bad But we have Antonio Conte, he won manager of the month That's good The manager of the month award is also cursed That's bad
  23. Arguable the world's best club team chase three 30+ players who are noticeably in decline to finally cement their spot on the world stage.
  24. There is something to be said about making a few changes every now and then though. Keeps you unpredictable.
  25. Well said and from what I can see from Conte he would love to welcome back someone with such a history, but it is up to him to make the call if it's in a footballing capacity.
