October 27, 201510 yr Finally been awarded an OBE. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3122021/Chelsea-legend-Frank-Lampard-awarded-OBE-following-stellar-Premier-League-career.html
October 27, 201510 yr Hang on, an OBE isn't a knighthood, is it? Am I getting confused in my old age?
October 27, 201510 yr No not a knighthood - I think Gem is just commenting on what he should have! OK, so is that what CarshaltonBlue is doing too? I got so excited at the thought of Frank being a Sir - and then somewhat deflated when I realised it wasn't true.
October 27, 201510 yr I'm opposed to gongs, but as long as they exist, Lampard might as well get one.
October 27, 201510 yr Author I c & p the story & must admit in my excitement i also first thought he would now be Sir Frank Lampard. Still i'm pleased for him & its nice for Chelsea to be associated with such an accolade.
October 27, 201510 yr We should get him back as a coach was like Drogba was last season. I doubt City would let him come back to Chelsea while he's under their contract. But we definetely need him especially in time like this.
October 27, 201510 yr Been devalued recently with the way they are giving them away but congrats nonetheless for Lampard, he deserves it.
October 28, 201510 yr top man, and well deserved. Just hope rumours of him getting into Tory politics are false.
October 28, 201510 yr Our Frank has got a much better head of hair on him than ol' Willy despite being older than him. Seriously look at the state of that barnet. He's only 33 and looks like he's going on 50. Shave it off lad.
October 28, 201510 yr We live in an increasingly bald-ist society so the lack of any attempt to hide his advancing baldness is one thing that I respect him for. Modern humans have no real need for hair so it stands to reason that bald(ing) people are simply at a more advanced stage in the evolutionary process.
