Matic. Commanded the mid. His diagonal balls to moses were a delight. Luiz was great too as was Moses.

Luiz all day long for me. What annoys me is that all the pundits who were slating him, stating it was not Conte's signing etc, "panic buy", "disaster waiting to happen", where are they to come out and state they were wrong. I hold my hands up to Redknapp who admitted Luiz is proving him wrong and also Garth Crooks. The rest hang your head in shame. I think he has been excellent this season. His ball playing abilities is a huge bonus too.

Luiz, Moses and Matic were all fantastic. Have to give it to Luiz though.

I think Luiz and Moses played like they were least affected by the break, Luiz had more influence on the clean sheet by winning all those headers.

I voted for Side Show Bob, but Moses deserves a shot out too

Luiz for me, was solid all game and was a commanding presence at the back. 

Moses for me, had the right wing on lock down today making Boro very 1 dimensional in there attack.

Luiz was all over the place this game. He was outstanding.

Luiz, Moses, Matic all good, went for Luiz. Well done Tibo as well, called on once and up to the task.

btw the way I thought some of the criticisms aimed at Alonso on the Match Day Forum were OTT. I thought he had a fair enough game and offered plenty going forward.

You've got Willian instead of Chalobah in there.

I voted Moses.

Despite it being another clean sheet, I thought that was one of our more fragile defensive games for a few weeks.  If Traore had made better decisions a few times we might have been in trouble. Ramires had Dave for pace a few times as well, Kante even't had to pull out the 6th gear to get back.  Alonso is left footed and that's about it.

I personally think there is something to be said about Chalobah, Cesc or Oscar coming in for Matic.  I was Matic's biggest fan, but to me, he is now just a figure on the park.  He passes backwards and only backwards and lays 0 tackles..  We could be creating 3,4,5 more chances a game if we have someone with a bit more vision in central midfield whislt still remaining defensively solid.  Cesc is patient, he goes backwards if he has to , but he can also look out for a pass, Matic can't or wont.  Doubt Chalobah would get the nod in a derby.

Luiz for me, he won every header and controlled the back line very well. Moses was also outstanding as he was every game under Conte.

I thought Alonso, and Luiz were superb, Moses was immense, but the eye catcher was Pedro, his two attempts were sublime, if that shot had been 2 inches lower, Goal of the season....

A bit left of field, but I give the MOTM award to Costa.

No disrespect to the likes of Luiz, Moses and Pedro who were all great as well.

Not at all, for me it was Luiz or Costa. On this occasion I plumped for Luiz.

I don't know what game you were watching regarding Matic? He was spraying balls out wide and forward plenty. I think you're being unnecessarily critical of him and Alonso here. How many goals have we conceded since Alonso came into the team? He's made a few small errors, but nothing costly, and the width he gives on the left side is so valuable to us. 


Luiz was my MOTM, another dominating display from him, plenty of great tackles, but he really showed his merit and character towards the end where he cleared four or five headers and absolutely bossed Negredo in the air.
