I actually think we were better in the first half of 05/06, the complete control we had on games at that point wasn't normal.
It hit me how good we became at Highbury near the Christmas that year, 1-0 up at the hour mark and wasn't remotely fearful we were going to blow it.

I've been calling for the CWC to become a tournament like this since the beginning of time.

Compared to the game at Anfield where we were lucky to not ship 8/9, going to Old Trafford and getting battered despite Hojund and Anthony acting as extra defenders for us, our worst ever defeat to Arsenal, parking the bus unsuccessfully at Brammal Lane, holding on for grim death at Luton after being 3 up, getting slapped up at home to Wolves or blowing a 2 goal lead to United at home which we were meekly accepting until Ten Hags stupidity.
And if we're going to pretend we have to pick one or the other I'd much prefer "passing it around the back" than seeing Gilchrist on the wing, Mudryk at LCB and Disasi having to cover an island. If you don't believe me, check out our passing network against Arsenal.
And before you ask, no Maresca hasn't been good enough since Christmas, but that doesn't make Poch better just like Poch didn't make Lampard better, two things can be true.

How do you define 'direct' rivals? If it's big six then Maresca has already done the same to Spurs (and in an entertaining way) while United was down to Ten Hags stupidy more than it was Poch (who conspired to turn what should have been the easiest win of the season into a massive battle in the first place).
Or is it top four rivals? If that's the case Newcastle and Villa were both beaten at The Brigde.

I guarantee at least 90% see him lose the ball and stand with his hands on his hips looking shocked.

We should never have got rid of Poch. Yes it was slow to get going but there was a lot of work to do. Bar the first 10 games, we were in 4th. 
Swapped an experienced manager for an inexperienced one. 
Poch wouldn’t have won us the league but he would have got us competitive again. It’s a shame that Winstewart annoyed him and he wanted out by the end. 

When has he ever done this, I cant remember a single game where he has changed it, either from starting or of the bench. He meanders through most of them on the fringe, nice little touches here and there but with very little actual impact.

There's a lot of things to be critical of Maresca on, but him not bothering with Felix surely isn't one of them. 

Sancho is fine. Especially at £25m.

Your priorities are in the wrong place.
The real waste of tax payers money is disabled people who want to work but can't getting just about enough money to feed themselves. Get with the programme.

You can pretty much make any team in history look poor by making one fixture comparisons.
You could probably find a fixture Derby 07/08 did as good or better than we did.

I'll believe that when i see it.
If even Josh can't be afforded one off game against the inform team in the league there's no chance for any others.
