Beckham left out of England squad
Capello said that everyone would start afresh and be selected on merit, so his decision to leave out Beckham is understandable, but I wonder weither the same rule applies to everyone? I don't see how he could reasonably justify the inclusion of Micheal Owen

Get Rid of Drogba
I really can't think of a single club where Drogba wouldn't be first choice. He is probably the most complete and feared striker in the world and we would be foollish to sell him unless he actualy asks to go. I for one hope Drogba stays as long as possible as I think he fits our team perfectly and I can't think of another striker that would be a suitable replacement, who will score goals as well as working as hard for the team and being as effective as Drogba.

Avram's selection 'problems'
I can only dream of such a day when we have a fully fit squad to choose from, untill then I reserve judgement as I fear it will never happen Also with this type of squad I fear we will never seen the promising Sahar or Sinclair again.

what other football shirts do you have besides Chelsea?
I have Holland, Scotland, (many, many Chelsea), Rangers, Villarreal, AC Milan, Japan and Boca Juniors tops. When I see a strip I like I buy Unless I have a deep hatred for the team! Really liked that Barca top this year as well...

Chelsea v. Tottenham Match Thread
I thought that, it makes you not want to go offline so you don't get a scum shirt under your name. Is that not a stroke of genius ? Once your on you can never leave...

Everton MOTM in Cup Semi 2nd leg
Spot on, I thought the fans were terrific and considering there wasn't a large amount, put Everton to shame

Everton MOTM in Cup Semi 2nd leg
Belletti-good going forward as per, but also sound defensively. Carvalho close second.

That lovely young man Stevie G, vs the villain 'Fat Frank'
Brilliant !
-
Ashley Cole vs Wayne Bridge
Both are annoyingly one footed but I would go for Cole as he is better defensively and thats the most important issue for a defender obviously, plus whenever Bridge goes forward its always head down and run which is quite frustrating.

Robben's career at Real to be short lived?
I'd take a half fit Robben over most wingers anyday. Downside is that we will constantly be frustrated that he is never fit and when he is we would constantly be dreaming of a return to the form in his debut season, which will probably never happen for the lad.

Arsenal MOTM
Mikel by some distance for me. Looked quite promising further up the park, hope he gets the chance to venture forward more often.

TORRES - We should have bought him !!!!!!
just watched him play against Rangers in the champions league game tonight. He had terrific dribbling ability. I can only get the first goal highlight, but in a way you could sat he "set it up" and then he scored the other two goals. http://youtube.com/watch?v=vbgnGfOkWu8 Was at the match, he ran Rangers ragged the whole match. His second goal was real class, dribbling between the two centre halfs and blasting it past McGregor, on that showing the boy is going to be a star. I say sign him up Obviously he is ineligible for the Champions league but in the long run it would be a great signing.

Shed End MOTM vs Valencia
Wasn't impressed one bit
-
TORRES - We should have bought him !!!!!!
He came with a reputation for being a poor finisher but from his time in England he has looked good in front of goal and hasn't really back up his poor reputation. Don't think hes too much of an all round player though

Scottish teams freakishly nearly always get a result at home

Shed End MOTM vs Valencia
Shevchenko for me, looked quite sharp and am just disapointed he didn't get longer on the park to grab the goal that would've boosted his confidence with the game at the weekend coming up.

Chelsea v. Valencia match thread [Tuesday, 11-12-07]
Not true, Valencia will try to win to get the third place and a UEFA cup spot, but to do so, they'll have to win and Shalke must at best tie the game against Rosenborg. Nope. Valencia can't get third. It is unfortunately an utterly meaningless game. I'll still be going though. When the draw was made this looked the pick of the ties in the group. Just goes to show how unpredictable football can be. I know people are suggesting that we play a weakened team ahead of Sunday's match but I really don't want us to lose. Our home record is something that I really cherish and I wouldn't want to see it given away. I also don't think it is actually that easy just to turn it on and off - winning is a habit and we need to keep it going. I just watched Avram's press conference on the BBC website and he looked very relaxed and was quite amusing. Looks as if he's growing in to the role which was nice to see. Valencia have 4points and Schalke have 5, or is that incorrect?

Frank Lampard
Or we could just hang on to Frank as long as possible..

Septic through!
Chelsea and Barcelona both topped their groups, can't get them till later on in the competition, its inevitable we will draw them at some point tho

Liverscum fans at it again...?
Going to sound like a bit of a c**t here but heregoes... I've actually been disapointed by Terry's behaviour recently. He seems to have lost some of his usual professionalism. He gets involved in alot of squabbles nowadays and seems to react to every little nasty challenge or kick. Fair enough he is being provoked and most players are going to react but what I always admired about JT was when he went in for a challenge and got a bit of the rough stuff he would always get up and walk away with his head held high, afterall it does take a better man to walk away. He was always thought as a perfect example to youngsters and other players and anyone basically watching the game. Obviously there are cases when he has to stand up for his players (i.e Dickov etc.) but it just seems he gets invloved in too many pointless arguments and reacts to alot of niggles and dirty tactics nowadays, which is obviously understandable, it's just that he has always had a near perfect reputation and i think he's in danger of damageing that a little... Just like to add that I am not in anyway agree with the red Inbred Freakshow Bas***ds
