Drogba could be back in three weeks
When is he supposed to be leaving for the ACN ?
-
Diarra - would you have him back?
What would be the point in having a cake then?
-
Frank Lampard
So if we were to sell him, we would surely have to buy a replacement? and as we all know (Sheva,Drogba,Ballack,Essien etc.) there is no guarentee that any new player will adapt straight away, in fact its really quite rare, so to gamble with our season like that when we're still challengeing in every competition would be extremely foolish.

Frank Lampard
Well it might not be a question about selling him or not. His contract is going out after this season I think and if he wants to leave he'll leave. Chelsea won't get anything then. So if Lampard says that he wants to leave then we either have to cash in now in january or else hope that we can make a deal with Lamps so that he signs a contract on the condition that we let him go for a small amount of money next summer. Better that than nothing. I just hope that Lampard wont hold out on us so that we don't get anything for him. I doubt he'll do that however. Yeh i was saying would we really sell him £10m just for the sake of making money? Lampard's goals and assists from January to when his contract runs out could potentially be worth more than £10m. I don't see us disrupting our season by selling one of our best players just for the sake of £10m which tbh, we don't desperately need do we?

super saturday - gooners v cfc, pool v mu
Eboue clearly slapped Rochemback in the face and again clearly kicked Downing in the chest. Both were highlighted on Match Of The Day 2 which really leaves the FA with no excuse for not coming down hard on him. I just feel that Middlesbrough fought hard for every ball and pressed Arsenal high up the pitch, leaving them with no time to settle and pick their passes which we know Arsenal can obviously do. Middlesbrough showed alot of passion and commitment which Arsenal just couldn't match, and I believe we could and should do the same, in the recent matches against Arsenal we've almost tried to bully them using our height and strength and we've had sucess from that aproach. But with Drogba missing and with us supposedly playing 'beautiful' football nowadays I wonder weither we'll follow the example set down by Middlesbrough and Newcastle or adopt a different aproach and foolishly try to outplay Arsenal. I believe we will know for sure after the next few weeks weither our manager can actualy cut it at this level.

Delightfully shocking performance from Arsenal , they were out fought in every area of the pitch and I believe with the type of players we have compared to their frilly 'young guns' we will be able to do the same but it will still be a tough game with Drogba but hopefully Sheva will step up. I'm quietly confident and I hear ballack is due back for the game? That should be a boost. Also... Surely the FA will have to ban Eboue for the game? Terrible behaviour which yet again highlights how well Arsenal lose

Frank Lampard
Even if Chelsea were to sell Lampard(which they won't ) would they really do it for £10m ?

English Patriotism?
I wasnt saying that was your point a was just using that as an example of how different it is between Scotland and England. About how IMO England fans never really seem to be fully commited to the team because they cant let go of their predjudice towards rival players and therefore are not fully supporting the whole team. I was just saying how that i feel it is different in Scotland because no matter what club you come from, once you pull on a Scotland shirt your a Scotland player, nothing else. Thats why IMO the Scottish support is so great, it doesn't come down to whether you favour club or country its whether you get behind your team (club or country) 100%. Obviously it all comes down to opinions, this is just mine

Luka Modric
I wasn't that impressed by him tbh. Granted he had a decent/good game but considering the hype surrounding the boy i expected a little more. Perhaps am being overcritical

English Patriotism?
Thats quite untrue IMO. I don't see a preference between club or country, we are just an extremely proud country who get behind everyteam we support. I'm not in any way insinuating that England are not a proud nation but in Scotland we get behind everyteam we support 100%, I go to every single Rangers match and naturaly i hate Celtic with a passion but whenever a Celtic player is called up to the Scotland squad there is no biasness or ill feeling i get behind that player 100% because at the end of the day he is Scottish and that is all that matters to me. Unfortunatly i don't see that with England, there are divided loyalties with preferences towards players from the clubs you support and a negative feelings towards players from rival clubs. When players are booed by England 'fans', most notably Lampard, you can bet that he isn't being booed by Chelsea fans, its fans from rival clubs who when things aren't going there way turn to their club prejudice. There doesn't seem to be any unity between fans.

Chelsea - how far will they go?
Haha i'm not going to sit and argue on the scums behalf but they didnt win it all on luck but obviously they needed a massive amount of luck to reach a Champions League final without scoring in the semi I'ts quite sad how they also had to abandon everyother competition to get there But you do have to(grudgingly) admit that they did put in a few quality performances, and the guy with the goatee does know his tactics
-
Chelsea - how far will they go?
Yeah it's ok saying you need luck to win it, because every team needs luck in any cup competition but luck isn't anywhere near enough, you need to have quality, tactical awareness and yes luck but is luck enough to win it? No. Do we have have the quality? Its debatable, but can Avram Grant go toe to toe with the best managers in europe and outsmart them? I don't think so, well from what i've seen so far anyway.

Sinclair goes to QPR
Well with the exception that Sahar has more speed than an elderly tortoise with a hip problem unlike Ben-Haim...

Sinclair goes to QPR
The move can be seen as nothing more than sensible. By the time he returns at christmas he will (hopefully) be on form and fully fit and thats exactly what we need at the time with the ACN. I have no worrys come january because i believe that he can step up and do a job for the team. I also have high hopes for Sahar, i believe he will be a great player for us and surely being israeli can't harm his chances of more first team action?

Chelsea - how far will they go?
I Really don't see sucess for us in the CL this season as i fear we will struggle against the big teams. We were tbh played off the park against Shalke, failed to beat Rosenborg at the Bridge and our only real result was against a poor Valencia team. Even in the Premiership we we couldnt close out a simple game against Everton. its inevitable we will draw Barca at some point and its against teams like Barcelona where we will stuggle. I have no confidence in AG's tactical ability as right now he seems more content with trying to impress than building a stable base to improve upon as shown at the weekend. As soon as the CL hits the knock out phase it all becomes a tactical game and quite frankly that scares me with Avram As you can see i'm not to optimistic

JANUARY SALES.
Don't see why Berbatov isn't worth a mention? Last season he was brilliant and i think a he would fit in more with the style that Avram Grant supposedly wants to play .. he's good with the ball at his feet, makes good runs and is very capable of bring others into play. IMO he is a far better option than Huntelaar as he has alot more to offer to the team and i think Huntelaar is more of a poacher and is not much of an all round player
