  1. That was our main strength, our fighting mentality and our belief we could beat anyone, thats why Jose was so special.
  2. What a load of utter sh*te I agree totally with bluenut, I'm not even going to waste my time disecting that whole comment and prove why nearly every point in there is wrong and clearly bias as the guy obviously doesn't like Mourinho. What an idiot
  3. What a performance Modric put in last night against Scotland. He showed a great range of passing, great touch, quite a bit of strength for a small guy and he was able to pick the small passes that others just don't see, a Fabregas or a Deco. Really excited about this boy now and hope we at least make an attempt to sign him. Along with Alan Hutton he was the best man of the park, both would be excellant additions to our squad
  4. I would also like to say Hello to Reaver180. Going by your first comment it looks as if you will be a good addition to this forum, welcome mate
  5. You were doing ok up untill that bit! Mikel is a great player. Sure, not world class yet but he is only 19. A lot to learn for sure but he keeps the ball fantastically and has a great future ahead of him. Your team looks good though you've chosen the wrong full backs. Like Mike id be up for giving Frank a shot on the left though , we would have to be careful. The strongest part of his game is arriving in the box at the right time and if he was to do that from the left we would need ample cover in case of a break. As for Sheva, nothing astounding about it. Its simple science really - his legs have gone. His Chelsea career is over and so is his standing as a top quality player. All very sad, watching him play is painful he tries so hard but its simply not there anymore. AC Milan must be laughing their b*****ks off. Agree with everything you said there excpet the full bakcs, I would pick Ashley Cole everytime and I don't care who plays at right back, both aren't up to scratch. On the Mikel thing, he isn't a world class player but is a really good player and liek you said is still 19 and he has shown really promising signs this season and I believe if he keeps improving it wont be long till he is up there with the best of them.
  6. Did anyone see Gallas in the tunnel before sundays game? He kept trying to play mind games when our players went up to say hi to him. Ignoring everyone basicly, What a c**t! The funniest bit was when Maka went up to say hi to him and gallas just ignored him and Maka just pushed him and laughed right at him
  7. That sums up mt feelings perfectly. Well done to Grant, he got it right on Sunday, finally. To even come close to erasing all his other mistakes he has to continue to get it right for the rest of the season and deliver a trophy.
  8. It's not a new thing mate, it has been happening all season.
  9. It has been chanted many a time, the fact that it overshadowed our victory is pathetic
  10. I would have thought it was Scotland as well as you definetly are our biggest rivals
  11. 1. MAR30 - Middlesbrough (h) 4-0 2. APR05 - Man City (a) 1-2 3. APR14 - Wigan (h) 2-0 4. APR19 - Everton (a) 0-1 5. APR26 - Man Utd (h) 2-0 6. MAY03 - Newcastle (a) 1-3 7. MAY11 - Bolton (h) 2-0
  12. Drogba and Anelka have been nothing but poor recently so heres a thought... Would Sheva be any worse? At the very least we know he will work his socks off and he did look promising before he got injured, it's just a nagging thought I have in the back of my mind that won't go away
  13. i honestly didn't think Roman was daft enough to have installed Grant as manager but there you go. I honestly don't think we have seen the worst of Grant's daftness yet this season. What a terrifying thought
  14. Im going to keep shouting "MARK HUGHES!" till it happens
  15. Good because you'll go blind! (seen the subject and couldn't resist )
  16. Of course it is do-able but we have to beat the big teams and Grant hasn't exactly excelled in that department has he? But I am quietly optimistic as I think we should be in our position but its nothing to shout about, I hope we just sneak up and win it and shut everybody up and I agree it will be a massive achievement and it would be brilliant to win it but better than Bolton? I don't think it will be, that was the most unbelieveable feeling ever and especially after going so long without and I don't seeing that being topped anytime soon or perhaps ever
  17. I have a dream of a management team of Zola/Wise/Hughes/Clarke
  18. There, i've fixed this for you too. For your information pal, the last time we were invited to ''hell'', we quite happily smashed 5 past your pals at Galatasaray. Hopefully Kezman will play for you! Expect to get heavily beaten at the Bridge. (Turkish teams always travel really well, dont you think?) Oh, and if it's a fight you're after, then visit the Matthew Harding Lower in particular. I'm sure you'll find one. Now sod off. Beleive me we more happier than you when you scored 5 times to 6alatasaray (the name of that silly team changed into 6alatasaray :) after we smashed them 6-0 in Sukru Saracoglu in the 6 November, 2002). We used to get heavy defeats in away matches up to this year but we are different now, really different. We can produce many new things other than providing goal advantage for our opposition. Those years were hopefully left behind. We have Roberto Carlos, the player with the most ever Champions League appearances, and the assist leader Alex de Souza. We did not get defeats against our real rivals in group stage for the second spot after Inter (CSKA and PSV). Deivid, our top goalscorer, was shown a controversial red card in Netherlands, and Edu, our centre back, unfortunately delivered 2 goals to CSKA in Russia (one short back pass to goalkeeper, other creating a penalty :() but we even got one point. Also in Sevilla, we were defeated but this time our goalkeeper (Volkan) made 2 personal mistakes but eventhough we could overcome that and make the game fo to the extratime then penalties. Who could guess Volkan could be the hero of that day with 3 penalty saves? So you don't get beat off of anyone, you know unless you make mistakes, or give away penaltys or get people sent off or pass the ball back to the keeper, nice way of talking your team up, terrifying, really
  19. I will die if we get put out in the semis against the filth again
  20. Kalou has been playing as a winger all season so that is harsh, and I seem to remember when he was our only fit striker at one point and he actualy got played up front he scored important goals for us.
  21. Kalou easily, look how long Wright-Phillips has had to improve and make a real mark on the side and he hasn't delivered. I actualy can't stand watching Wright-Phillips play, he is so wasteful and although it is not really his fault he is tiny and so weak and the less said about his crossing the better. I think Wright-Phillips has had his chance and we should get rid whereas Kalou seems to be getting better and although he can be wasteful he always seems to be confident in his ability and always keeps going and yeah his finishing is poor (though improving) but at least he gets in the right positions. Are we over the Barnsley result? Kind of, its the kind of result you just want to forget about and just put it down to another cup shock this year but the Tottenham game can't and won't be forgotten.
