  1. From that link it says kick off is at 14:00 ?
  2. That was the best finish I have ever seen, sheer class like you said. You wont find a player who was better at off the ball running than Crespo, anywhere.
  3. Quite suprising that everyone is against the idea of singing Deco here yet most people seem happy with the signing in the other. ;)
  4. Casillas Zhirkov, Pepe, Puyol, Altintop Snejider, Senna, Modric, Deco Villa, Torres
  5. bjd is spot on. Maldini is the perfect example.
  6. I like the idea of Kalou being given a chance in our first 11, I think he has earned it and at the very least he is exciting, he runs at players and tries to make things happen, he loses the ball alot trying to make openings but he is improving at that as well. Other forward left players I like are Quagiarella ? or something to that effect who plays for Udinese.
  7. I would LOVE Robben back at Chelsea, I have been saying it for months and it just gets met by indifference from my friends. I was watching the game tonight and could not help thinking that Holland needed someone who ran at defenders to be better on the counter attack as they had no one who was taking players on, a la Ribery and was dieing for Robben to come off the bench (Partly because he is in my dream team ) and when he did I could not stop smiling, it was great watching him play again. Everytime he got the ball I was on the edge of my seat, as I always was with Robben. No one at Chelsea does that to me anymore and I would welcome him back with open arms. Robben is my second favourite player in world football, he blew me away when he came off the bench against Blackburn in his first season with us and his form for four months after that was nothing short or sensational and I would rather have Robben back in the treatment room with the possibilty of seeing such fantastic football again than have Malouda or SWP or even Joe Cole at the end of the season fit and knowing they would bore me to tears.
  8. He managed Brazil to WC, Portugal to EC final and 4th in WC '06. I think CL is one thing we will be big win candidates now. He speaks english okay and that is enough. He punched a serbian player, they can be annoying sometimes . He has success in the world, is it big enough for you. My only concern actually is his ability to share his energy throughout the long season. You don't win anything with logic, lighten up. To be fair winning the world cup with Brazil isnt a massive achievement and steering Portugal to the final of the european championships certainly isnt. They were the "Golden Generation" of portugese players and they were at home afterall. Yeah fair enough I will give you the serbian thing... But I still think we need someone who knows european club football and I just see it as a bit of a gamble.
  9. I for one am not happy. After narrowly losing our first Champions League Final we needed to find a manager who would build on that, instead we apoint a manager who has never managed in european club football ? A man who speaks no english? A man who punches aposing players? A man who has had no sucess outside Brazil? to me it is hugely disapointing and I dont see the logic in it whatsoever.
  10. Second last? Serves me right for basing my team around the Italiens being defensively sound
  11. I wouldnt mind Slaven Bilic to be our new manager. I think we need someone young and hungry for sucess rather than someone who has been there and done it all. Fair enough with an experienced manager you have more chance of instant sucess but how long would they stick around for if they get that sucess? I think in the long run a younger manager who is given his first big break would be ideal. My first choice was Mark Hughes, I thought he was perfect for the job and was gutted when he went to City but I think Bilic is similar to Hughes. Young as I have already mentioned, hungry for sucess, motivates his teams, good tactical knowledge, well respected, plays good football and conducts himself really well in front of the media.

  14. I think Carvalho is the best defender in the world and if he gets a chance to play alongside JT for a full season again then we will be rock solid. Cech a close second.
  15. Manager - Mark Hughes -------------------------------Cech--------------------------------- Bosingwa-------------Terry---------Carvalho----------------A.Cole ------------------------Essien---------Ballack----------------------- ------------Quaresma--------Lampard----------Robben------------- -----------------------------Berbatov------------------------------ Subs: Cudicini,Alex,Mikel,Shevchenko,J.Cole
  16. Staying: 1. John Terry = Our captain, our blood sweat and tears. 2. Ricardo Carvalho = Oozes class. Most consistan player we have and when him and JT are fit they are undoubtabley the best partnership in world football. 3. Frank Lampard = Chelsea legend, Loves the club and we love him. 20+ goals a season we can't afford to lose. 4. Cech = Best in the buisness, plain and simple. 5. Ashley Cole = Difficult first season but IMO been one of our best and most consistant players this season, can't think of a better left back. Going: 1. Drogba = Had enough, hes not a football player hes a circus freak. Idolised him last season just like every Chelsea fan, cut down on the diving and started to become a player but has went back three years, just go. 2. Anelka = Had high hopes but not the player I thought he was, taking up space in the squad that I would rather see go to a new striker. 3. SWP = Had his chance, hasn't delivered. To give him anymore time would just be a kick in the teeth to other members of our squad or the youngsters. 4. Ben Haim = Not good enough. 5. Pizzaro = Not good enough.
  17. Mark Hughes. One of few genuinely talented young managers out there. He is also passionate and hungry for sucess. Done a real good job at Blackburn, making his team hard to beat while playing good football. He demands respect and you see that in his teams with the way they fight every minute for him. Has shown he can deal with difficult personalities (Bellamy, Savage, Bentley). I have always been a fan or Mark Hughes, great player and I believe a great manager in the making. I think he is ready for the step up. Don't want to hear all the sh*te about how he will end up at ManU anyway. From what I hear its a four-way management team consisting of Keane,Bruce Hughes and Queerman. Hughes is there for the taking so I believe we should, you know... take him.
  18. I was actualy tempted to pick Ashley Cole as well... Picked Carvalho though
  19. Quaresma, Ashley Young, Valencia and I would take Arjen Robben back in a heartbeat.
  20. He is a f**king disgrace and as far as Im concerned, he cost us the Champions League Final. Im f**king sick of his diving, the amount of times he spends off the park in games seemingly injured only to stoll pack onto the park is unbelievable. His moaning at referees and at times his own team mates is just embarassing. He constantly disrespects the club that has made him the player he is, often moaning about wanting a move. If you want to go then f**king go! No matter how good you are, and you are good, we don't have to put up with your poofy diving antics and constant moaning about nothing. Drogba is an embarassment and should be shipped out.
  21. He was fantastic last night, top drawer defending. Saved us a few times and the clearence from Giggs was unbelievable. Then he had the balls to step up and be counted, unlucky that he missed but you saw on his face how much it hurt. Chelsea to the core. Captin Fantastic.
  22. Thought John Terry was excellent and it was just a shame he missed his penalty
