Andreas Christensen
Lamps raved about his first half performance, but said he complained of a fever at half time. He wasn’t good defensively second half - neither was Rudiger. Kepa has taken a hell of a lot of stick this season, some justified and some not. 2 goals conceded today but it could have been 4-5. I don’t think the goalkeeping situation is our most urgent issue to fix. There’s a fundamental flaw with how we’re defending - we are giving away far too many clear cut chances that don’t give the goalkeeper a chance. I don’t know whether it’s personnel or tactics, probably a bit of both.

Antonio Rudiger
2 great headers got us the point - deserved man of the match for that. The 2nd header was a beaut! Question marks over him defensively though for sure.

Random Rumours
I'd rather sign no one than some of the players we've been linked with. We have Pulisic and Loftus-Cheek back from injury very soon and Hudson-Odoi is looking sharper with each appearance. The last thing I want is to panic buy another Drinkwater or Zappacosta (I don't think he's that bad but a waste of 20-30million when will have James and Lamptey in the reserves!). Who is realistically going to sell their star player midway through the season? Hardly anyone. So then we're left with average players to sign in January which is exactly what we don't want. Yes, we all want to sign a world class striker/attacker this month but I'm not going to slam the board for not making it happen in January.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Yep, it's been confirmed. Ruben is back in full training with the first team! Will probably still be a few weeks before he sees any action though. This is a massive boost!

Chelsea v Arsenal (PL) Tue 21st Jan 20:15 GMT
Kepa James Christensen Zouma Azpi Jorginho Kante Kovacic Willian CHO Abraham 4-3-3 with Jorgi in the pivot.

Conor Gallagher
Very strange that we've ended his loan with Charlton and brought him back. I wonder what the plans are for him? He was playing regular football and doing really well - I hope that this doesn't backfire.
-
Reece James
He played central midfield for Wigan last year for 3/4 of the season and won their player of the year. He has the attributes to be a word class right back, he wont be switching positions anytime soon.

Reece James
Such a good player, he's getting better and better with every game. He should be one of the first names on the team sheet moving forward.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Just found this video from 2 weeks ago, seems like Ruben could be in the mix very soon!

Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Haven't heard an update in a while. My guess would be back training with the 1st team this month and available for selection in Feb.

Antonio Rudiger
Brilliant yesterday! I thought Zouma was our best defender on the day, but Rudiger's leadership qualities are great.

Super Frank Lampard
Absolutely brilliant from Lamps yesterday! Tactical masterclass! I was really underwhelmed with the starting 11 when I first saw it, because I'm a fan of 433 and was worried we'd lack attacking threat with an extra defender. I was so wrong and happy to admit it! We were brilliant all over the park - I wouldn't score any of our players under an 8/10. Special mention to Willian who gets a lot of stick on here, but yesterday he produced a 10/10 performance. He was unplayable! I'd say that was his best performance in a Chelsea shirt - even better than in the Champions League against Barca. Best early Christmas present - I'm so happy!

Spuds v Chelsea (PL) Sun 22nd Dec 16:30 GMT
I must say that I’m a bit underwhelmed with the line-up today. Really seems to be lacking attacking intent. Spurs have been shipping loads of goals this season - I felt that we should have stuck to our principles and gone more attacking. I’m worried about how this line-up will create anything without Pulisic’s and CHO’s pace on the counter attack. Hopefuly Frank proves me wrong! Come on Chels!

Champions League draw
Happy with the draw. There is no easy match and Bayern are a very good team, but we're Chelsea! We can eat ANYONE on our day. Bayern have had their struggles this season - sacked their manager recently and behind Leipzig in the league. Coman has also just got injured, although not sure if he'll be back in time to play us. Back where we belong in the knockout stages of the Champions League - love it!!

Jeremie Boga
If the buy-back clause is £3.5 million then I think it's a no-brainer to get him back. Give him a chance to impress in training and if he doesn't we'd be able to sell him for £20-30 million. He's started the season on fire and reached levels that I never expected of him.

César 'Dave' Azpilicueta
I thought Dave had a good game, but didn't do enough for their goal at all. Their winger found to far too easy to beat him and get in the cross which led to their goal. Dave seemed tentative in that action, like he didn't want to risk giving away a foul or hand-balling a cross.

Antonio Rudiger
He looked very composed and confident on the ball which was great. Really poor defending from our defense for their goal though and he also made a howler at the end which nearly cost us qualification. Considering that he barely had anything to do all match, that isn't great. A similar mistake from Christensen or Zouma and the forum would erupt! I'm putting it down to a bit of rustiness - hopefully the mistakes will be ironed out once he's had a run of games. I really like his presence at the back.

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
We weren't open against Norwich or Wolves, but we were in the others and Jorginho was indeed playing. To blame Jorginho for our openness though is unfair, it's not one players fault. We're an attacking team now and are creating more chances and playing better football, but when we're bombing forward it also means that you're going to leave more spaces at the back. I didn't think we looked any more solid in the middle last night than we did when we beat Brighton 2-0 for example. Or against Ajax away, our best performance of the season.
-
Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
Certainly did. How many of those matches did we lose Davey? We won the midfield battle in all those games except Ajax and Valencia which were both crazy games with no control from either team.. Jorginho was actually absolutely brilliant against Wolves away, I don't know why you've put that in there. Utd was our only loss in those 7 games which was our first game under Lamps and it was probably naive tactics on our part in that match.

We've got a new Kepa
We will have to agree to disagree on this one. With 2 defenders in the 6 yard box (Christensen and James), I think Kepa had every right to protect his goal-line. Great cross, poor defending, (another!) fluky finish.
-
We've got a new Kepa
Whipped in first time dipping with no time to react. Absolutely no chance. Tibo was slow! Tibo’s biggest quality was collecting high slow crosses in the box because he could just walk out and reach above everyone else because he was a big giraffe.
-
We've got a new Kepa
I can't believe you're blaming him for their goal last night - no keeper comes out for that cross. It had absolutely nothing to do with his height (it wasn't even a high cross). Sometimes you've just got to applaud the superb delivery. The blame for their goal was 1. allowing the cross to be delivered in the first place 2. Christensen getting bullied by their attacker and getting nowhere near the header 3. Reece James not picking up the runner.

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
It's a myth that we've been open in midfield this season when Jorginho has played. Jorginho was brilliant for us in our run of 6 premier league wins in a row, and we've bossed the midfield area in every game we've played this season. Our weakness this season has been set pieces and crosses into the box. We're just lucky to have some brilliant options in the middle of the park at the moment. Jorginho deserved the rest not because he's been poor (he's been really good), it's just that Kovacic, Kante and Mount have also been very very good.
-
We've got a new Kepa
2 good games on the spin. Kept the scoreline from being embarrassing against West Ham, and pulled off a good save at the death last night which secured the win. Getting back to some good form - keep it up Kepa!
-
We've got a new Kepa
Barring the penalty save that was Kepa's worst game for us. The penalty save was superb though - as Frank said it wasn't just an ordinary penalty save, it was special. Not many keepers in the world could have pulled that off. 1st goal Kepa should definitely be doing better there. 2nd goal was a fluke that was miles over his head. He'd have needed to be 9ft tall to save that! The 2nd goal isn't on him. He generally looked shaky last night and his passing was poor.
