  1. David Luiz has never been good in the DM position, I wouldn't want him there.
  2. Exactly my point. If we try to outplay them we will play into their hands, I'm hoping for a defensive set up, don't play like we played against Arsenal. A 3 man midfield would be necessary with Hazard & Morata upfront. But I doubt that will happen, no doubt we will see Pedro start the game with Hazard up top with him. But that defence is their weakness, Pep Guardiola will always be exposed against the top sides who can counter attack him, we should do exactly that, I don't even care if they win the possession battle at the Bridge, let them have it.
  3. Always love watching Liverpool suffer, detestable club.
  4. Yep I agree, it's ridiculous, I mean every fan on every forum you go on you see the same thing, "media is against us" "referees are against us" "teams love to raise their game against us" But I was very pissed off how they never showed Crouch's tackle on MOTD, you know for a fine fact if it had been United, Liverpool or Arsenal it would have been discussed by either Phil Neville, Keown or Danny Murphy. And if that had happened Crouch probably would have been banned, that's where I think we are at a disadvantage at times. Can you remember this http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/11315400/Jose-Mourinho-claims-there-is-a-campaign-to-portray-Chelsea-as-divers.html Although Mourinho is a whinging bar steward we all know, he actually had a point. I'm not sure if you can remember but MOTD did a full segment on our players diving not long before Fabregas was wrongfully booked for simulation. They grilled all our players like Willian, Costa & Hazard going down a lot during the match. Don't get me wrong our diving was dreadful, but I've seen no different from other teams and they've never had that same treatment before. Mourinho even discussed that and he said MOTD were wrong for criticising our players, I don't think they were but I at least want them to have some consistency and it does impact our game, from then on we were never getting penalties awarded, our players were booked for no reason. I believe that season we had 3 penalties in the league, 3! That's terrible, we deserved about 11. That was the same season Matic got sent off in that bull sh*t Burnley game.
  5. Yep, we have had this issue quite a lot actually compared to other clubs, I myself have never experienced racism at the bridge but I know people who have, but not recently. Our behaviour in Paris, however, was embarrassing, not just the train incident, all the riots, fighting, trashing up restaurants, it was awful. But I think our Club has taken great action in banning a lot of these supporters. So we can't criticise the club but we can criticise some fans that ignore it.
  6. I don't think there is a conspiracy but I do think out of the top teams us & City lack protection on commentary. The Diego Costa crimes a big one, three Liverpool pundits on Sky did their best to get Costa banned. Did Costa deserve the ban? Yes, but that lead to Costa consistently being penalised by the referees, after that game he never got one penalty and I can't tell you how many times he was fouled in the box that season. I used to cringe when Mourinho kept going on about a campaign against Chelsea but he hit the nail on the head when he said MOTD or Sky never have Chelsea pundits, it's always Liverpool, Arsenal & Manchester.
  7. Here's an unpopular opinion. I think Drogba for all his greatness wasn't a prolific goal scorer, I think his lack of consistency cost us in many of our bad seasons when Jose left, we once put Anelka up front instead and he ended up winning the golden boot. I daresay Diego Costa was a better goal scorer, not a better player, however, but his goals to games ratio show that he was superior to Didier at putting the ball in the back of the net. EDIT: I've just realised this has already been said by @Scott Harris my bad, fully agree with you though. But still a legend nonetheless, single-handedly won this club about 9 trophies on his own.
  8. That's just social media in general, it's cancerous. Forums are so much better to talk about sport, you get more maturity and better standards than a wide-open platform like Twitter or Facebook.
  9. I would personally like a full strength side regardless of the weekend fixture, would like to see Zappacosta play though.
  10. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11679/11053825/kyle-walker-says-manchester-city-fear-no-one They're getting cocky, that's always their downfall. I hope we put up a solid defensive display and counter attack the sh*t out of them, we've done it before we can do it again but if we try to outplay them however this could end up badly.
  11. When is he back? Early October I think it is not sure. I'll be interested to see what contribution he makes because he is highly rated by Conte rumour has it. So no doubt he'll get a decent amount of game time.
  12. I don't think this guy has ever had a bad season. I remember when we first signed him, 7 million was it? Unbelievable signing. I didn't really know much about him, I just heard he's some young right back from Marseille who's known for his crossing of the ball, my what a player he's developed out to be. You have to admire how adaptable he is since he's been here he's been changed around constantly and still performed exceptionally well everywhere. Right back, left back now centreback, he has it all in his locker. He was arguably as good as Ashley Cole ever was in the left back position, that is not a light praise.
  13. I still think he's nervous if I'm being honest, his first touch has been off, even look at the first goal he almost scruffed that first touch. At Juventus & Madrid I can't remember him ever having a bad touch, we're still yet to see him settle in.
  14. Fully agree, although I wouldn't discredit how good he was under Mourinho in his first two seasons, particularly the first one. How Kompany made it over him in team of the year I'll never know.
  15. We have to respect City's attack on this one. I actually felt we got very lucky in our first game against them last season, even the second game they missed good chances. I really doubt they're going to be that unlucky a 3rd time, Baka-Kante midfield is a must, but we all know it should be a 3 man midfield.
  16. Who remembers this? Or the MOTD coverage on Chelsea players diving too much? Always the same case. It's not a conspiracy either it's genuine that Sky/BBC have barely any Chelsea pundits compared to Manchester & Liverpool ones. When the Diego Costa "crimes" controversy came up it was Jamie Redknapp, Graeme Souness & Jamie Carragher talking about it on the panel on a Chelsea vs Liverpool match, that's 3 f**king Liverpool pundits right there. Who's going to be there to defend Chelsea the same way Arsenal, United, Spurs & Liverpool are constantly defended?
  17. They never have Chelsea pundits on MOTD, and when they do its people like Chris Sutton who were huge flops and do nothing but bitterly criticise our club. Sadly they never have Ruud on as much. I would honestly rather sh*t in my hands and clap than watch Danny Murphy & Martin Keown talk about football.
  18. So do I. Lukaku might score more goals, but he frustrates those around him, chases his first touch which is so bad it's become an internet meme. We need players who can link up with our quality attackers, not someone who's only good for just putting the ball in the back of the net. Modern football isn't that one-dimensional anymore, not since the false 9 was invented.
  19. I think it would be wise to actually play Cahill this game even though he's going to anyway. But this time I hope he does, experience alone, throwing Christensen in the mix of a game like this would be a big gamble and we need points, stoke away is never an ordinary game is it. Courtois Azpi-Cahill-Rudiger Moses-Bakoyoko-Kante-Alonso Fabregas-Morata-Hazard I would be happy with that lineup, I expect this to be a sloppy game, I would be very disappointed if Bako doesn't start in a game like this, we need him for this one. So even though I fully expect the side to be wasteful in possession, it would be good to make use of the flanks, Fabregas comes centrally and plays Moses in, he's brilliant at one on ones. I think this will be a very important game for Moses, he'll be up against Pieters/Wimmer most of the match, that's where United failed to exploit Stoke, from out wide.
  20. No that's completely your opinion & that's fine with me, don't see how that can offend anyone and I'm a big Morata fan have been for a while. But surely you didn't rate Costa's link up play? I can't tell you how many times he ruined counter attacks, he looked like a Championship player compared to Hazard, Pedro & Willian whenever he linked up with them.
  21. FM10 was my first FM, I used to play FIFA Manager before that. And as for TW3 which is no doubt one of the greatest games of all time, I f**king hate gwent.
  22. If Costa never scored as many goals we would be calling him the Brazilian or Spanish Danny Welbeck, his overall play was abysmal. Morata is actually a good footballer and he's 24, still has potential. He wasn't resigned by Real Madrid for no reason, he was immense at Juventus and he looked good whenever he played for Madrid they were just stacked. A lot of the time we ignored Costa's disastrous link up play because in those games he scored, plus one thing that annoyed me about him is that he never seemed to get on the end of anything, I can never recall Costa scoring many headers, probably about 2, Morata looks like he can connect.
  23. I've given Bako a lot of slack because of his ball distribution but I was so surprised with his performance against Arsenal, his distribution was absolutely superb, he looked very comfortable.
  24. Yep, that's his issue, attacking wise he does have a lot of potential. He's the typical Brazilian, sh*t lots of flair.
