The Oscar thread
Watched him closely during the Olympic final and he started the match playing in a forward midfield position and he looked good on the ball, slick control and quick passing. During the second half Brazil changed their formation and Oscar played a deeper role. I thought he was absolute class in that role, his reading of the game, his control, vision, always available to receive the ball from others under pressure. I think in years to come he will be able to control matches, particulary in relation to the tempo of our play. Not sure if he is just at the level to carry that responsibility at the moment but I would have high hopes that this guy will be the main man in a Chelsea shirt for many years playing in that deeper position.

Following our nearest and dearest rivals
Just wanted to wait to full time to post about Rooney. He was total sh*t. One of the best in the world, up here with Messi and Ronaldo, or so the British press would like to make you think. Not in the same town never mind the same street as those two.

Think kanawa is having a decent debut for utd tonight. Very good passer of the ball, very little waste.

Fellaini
One of the most dominant displays I've saw in the prem for a long time. Great headed goal.

Fellini has been excellent so far.

Robin van Persie
I thought that last season when fabregas and nasri left but they done alright. Although I dearly hope they struggle I fancy they will get top four.

Victor Moses joining Chelsea?
Going back a bit but Law, Best and Dalglish (spit) were a bit special at finishing.

Happy days. Couldn't have asked for a much better final. Well maybe GB v Brazil.

The Oscar thread
Hope Brazil manage to get through tonight, but it will not be easy against a well organised Korean side. Going to final on Saturday and would love to see the likes of Oscar, Neymar, Moura and Hulk putting on a show.

should we retire the number 11 shirt for Drogba?
No from me as well.

Which player is going to be KEY for us this season?
Cahill. I think the most important partnership will be in defence especially as I believe Terry could well miss the first couple of months of the season. Cahill, I think is very adaptable and capable of forming strong partnerships with either Terry or Luiz.

Olympics - Once and For All
Thought the whole thing was going to be limp and embarrassing but found it surprisingly entertaining. Fantastic transformation from green fields to the industrial revolution and the coming together of the olympic rings. Usual boring part of the teams coming into the arena which takes an age but what else can you do. Many of the athletes, especially those from the smaller nations really seemed to enjoy it. Was not going to bother watching but glad I did. On the first day of events it is a really bad start for the Brits and it already looks like the Chinese are going to dominate.

Kaká
Also totally forgot that Hibernian and Arsenal record signing Peter Marinello ( the Scottish George Best).

I wish I'd never effing said class 2, I do not mean 2 nd class. I thought I'd made myself clear. When referring to these players I was talking about the best players in the world, any of who would get into an all time world 11. These are all football greats. I'll try it this way. World greatest greats, Pele, Best, Maradona, Messi. World great greats, Zidane, Gullit, Charlton, Cruff. Only my opinion of course.

Apparently the clause was put in should a top five club come in for him. Rules Liverpool out then!
-
Kaká
I think you misunderstand where I'm coming from with my grades. Just saying that the likes of Zidane and Cruyff are a step down from the true greats like Best, Pele etc. Lampard, Scholes etc one teir below that again. Not sure which rung of the ladder to put Jordan Henderson.
-
Kaká
Yes really, but only my opinion. I feel Zidane and Gullit are top end of class 2 and lower end of class 1. But you have to draw a line somewhere.

Kaká
I can see him going to the states or china for a final big payday. He's not the player he was in fact I'm not sure he was ever as good as he was hyped up to be. Had a fantastic couple of years and and probably put him in the 'Great players class 2' along with the likes of Zidane, Gullit, Charlton, Cruyff etc. Never near Great players Class 1; Best, Pele, Maradona, Messi.

Lucas Moura to Old Trafford
I think if Fergie really wants him he will get him. That would be two useful signing Man U will have made.

Olympics - Once and For All
I'm just hoping that brazil make the final as I'm going to it.

The Oscar thread
Like everyone else I'm a bit underwhelmed by the interview. Feel that he will be putting himself in the shop window over he next few weeks.

The "everything you want to say about Torres" thread
Had a wee check on Paddy Power and see Nando is 10/1 to be Prems top scorer. Not that generous but maybe worth a small punt. What did catch my eye was Liverscum at 25/1 to win the title and next Newcastle at 175/1. They have the scum as a top six team ffs.

Thorgan Hazard
Just picked up on part of a chat on talksh*t today when they were chatting about Thorgan Hazard. Whoever the so all expert was reckons that Chelsea would be signing the wrong brother, that he is the weaker footballer of the family. Apparently an even younger brother, Kylian, is the dogs bollicks.

Edinson Cavani - £50m
You're having a laugh. 'u no it makes sense' I came on to this trend wanting the latest on Cavani only to find your giving it some more Torres bashing. Surprise, surprise.
