gruda1905 reacted to bluetrooper in Nicolas Jackson - strikerBrought us back into the game and its his job to do that. We then conceded 3 mins later. We really didnt create very much at all second half. Certainly didnt work the keeper.
On a better day, his goal would have earnt us a point. Anyhow, I did enjoy his goal celebration and his card for trying to put Salah off for the Pen. Say what you want about him, think he likes playing for us. Thumbs up from me.

gruda1905 reacted to Gol15 in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - Decent Squad PlayerIf people are amazed at how much of a work force Gallagher has been then this signing should make everyone very pleased, this is a proper PL signing for us, had Klopp taken him everyone would have been mindblown how he finds such players...

gruda1905 reacted to PhilH930 in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - Decent Squad PlayerWelcome! Good luck and excited to see what you can bring. Nice to have a midfielder in the side again that knows where the goal is!

gruda1905 reacted to timetowaste in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - Decent Squad PlayerI think people are really underestimating him, the Drinkwater comparisons are beyond unfair but nothing less than I expect from the doom mongers on here.

Jeez ffs, give the kid a chance, Maresca knows better than any of our players, and will no exactly what he can do, I watched quite a bit of him last season, and his quality is obvious, he’s a real player that can play, just you doubters watch, when Gallagher goes he’ll be more ready than say Lavia……..

gruda1905 reacted to STATS in Nicolas Jackson - strikerSuch an underrated player. For his first season, despite his flaws, definitely has more pros than cons. He has got into double figures, I am sure he will get to at least 15. Has provided a few assists, won a few penalties. Overall, he can be happy and defo one that can grow. Only 22 as well. Love his work ethic as well and for the fee bought, defo has been worth it.

gruda1905 reacted to olderschoolcfc in Nicolas Jackson - strikerYoung man moves to new country to a new league. Is open and honest about his own performances... wants to do better... applaud the guy cause he and the team will get better.
-
gruda1905 reacted to olderschoolcfc in Nicolas Jackson - strikerScored two headed goals in a week.... Clearly isn't capable of leading a line...
Scores a goal yesterday and is pilloried by "fans".
makes assists, but gets ridiculed for not doing enough for the team.
win, lose or draw... our fans find ways to pick on Chelsea players. There is more criticism of the players and manager than there is of opposing players/ fans and teams... it is mind bending that so many cant get behind, support, be constructive about players playing for our club.

gruda1905 reacted to Whats_The_Mata? in Nicolas Jackson - strikerYou're aware the other striker we went into the season with has 3 goals in his last 62 games across 3 different clubs? Won't make the Fulham bench once Jimenez recovers.
Mudryks got 5 goals in 44 in English football. Which is equal to his good touch to bad touch ratio.
Madueke has the impressive 5 in 33 but everytime he starts a game he's an opposition fullback, gets took off almost every time and has a total of 0 assists and 0 big chances created in the PL since he signed for us it's not looking great there.
Yet for some reason some people want to pretend they're top talents. God knows why.
I'm not sure if Jackson will ever be good enough, he definitely isn't good enough right now but I have sympathy for a player bought to be a supporting player being forced to lead the line every week because he's surrounded by absolute sh*t he gets a lot of criticism because he misses chances and he has to improve but given he's the only young attacking player at the club (bar Palmer) with the intelligence to make a f**king run and always gets involved I'll back the lad.

gruda1905 reacted to Nibs in Raheem Sterling signs for ChelseaWhen is Poch going to realise that we look a much better football team when Sterling is not on the pitch?
Looked totally disinterested last night. Just hope we can move him on in the summer.
-
gruda1905 reacted to Sconnie Blue in Nicolas Jackson - strikerFinishing sure, but technical ability? Jackson is a fantastic dribbler of the ball with his close control, nobody can stop him when he gets going. Tammy would trip over his own legs checking in deep the way Jackson does. It's why I want Jackson on the wing or as an outside forward.
I think he's firmly cemented his Kalou role. Outside forward with the occasional appearance at ST. Club still probably needs two strikers.

gruda1905 reacted to loz in Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"I'd like to see Caciedo play slightly wider.. preferably about 35m to the side. Sat beside Mudryk

gruda1905 reacted to fester in Who needs to go and who needs to stay?Mendy / Kepa - in both cases we need keepers that Pochettino is happy with. Keep both, let both go, not too bothered, both can be brilliant and awful. Happy to wait for Slonina. Kante / Kovacic - I'd like to have kept, but sounds like both are on their way. 😪 Aubamayang - Bye, bye Pulisic / Loftus-Cheek - Bye, bye a few short spells of promise, between injuries. Hope he finds a club that gives him regular football in a less physical environment. Chalobah - Needs to play, if not going to get regular football here let him go. Sterling - keep. I think Pochettino will get him firing (like Deli Ali) Mount - If he wants to go, let him. Skillful player, but not a game changer IMO. Enzo - Let's admire him for the couple of seasons we have him, before Real Madirid / PSG / ... come calling $$$ (we will make a profit on him). Mudryk - I believe he will develop in to a Hazard-esque legend Chilwell - Keep, Englands no. 3 Ziyech - bye,, sorry they messed up Janurary transfer Gallagher - keep, a real Pochettino type midfielder James - going nowhere Koulibaly - bye, bye. W Fofana - keeps Havertz - if Pochettino can find a role for him, definitely keep. If we let him go I think he will star in the right team and role (like KDB) Cucarella - if Maatsen staying let him go. If not worth keeping as defensive cover/- -
gruda1905 reacted to Liam in Chelsea v AC Milan (CL) Wed 5th Oct 2022 20:00 GMTBlah, blah, blah, moan, blah, blah, blah, groan.
So many positives tonight.
Great energy all over the pitch. So many second balls won. We were far more direct than usual and generally mixed up our approach which is refreshing.
Kepa pinged a few nice balls into areas which produced some good interchanges and led to promising breaks on their goal.
A proper striker's goal. Seven English players on the pitch. You get the feeling that training is productive and enjoyable. A good start for Potter.
What a privilege to watch an artist like Silva at work.

gruda1905 reacted to HazardousChoice in Christian Pulisic - OfficialHe's a proper prick isn't he?
Writing a book crying the manager benched you is embarrassing for a professional footballer.
It's even more embarrassing to write it when you've been a bench warmer your entire career, your the least naturally talented player at the club and have consistently put in poor performances since the day you started your professional career.
I really miss the days when the least talented players at the club got their heads down worked even harder and tried to play some kind of role even if they don't have the ability for the highest level. Too many untalented players are so quick to mouth off now and run to the media on international breaks and it's sad to see.
The irony is Tuchel actually gave him far too much playing time, Eagle boy should be thanking Tuchel for letting him role play as a premier league footballer.
It's Vital Potter doesn't make that mistake.
Cut this cancer out of the squad immediately.

A striker maybe.

gruda1905 reacted to big blue in Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*I was too angry to post yesterday, absolutely shocking performance from the officials.
Tuchel was 10/10 for me yesterday, tactically he absolutely dominated Conte for 60 minutes, then Spurs switched to 4231 and had a decent 5-10 minutes. Tuchel responded though, moved RLC into midfield with Kante, and went super aggresive with the press again, and we retook the lead, and really shouldve been 3 or 4-1 up going into stoppage time.
Then he stands his ground and goes toe to toe with Conte who is one of the most fiery characters in football.
To finish things off, he calls out the absolute ineptitude of Anthony Taylor, and 3 awful calls that robbed us from all 3 points.
Probably my favourite Chelsea manager, I think he overtakes Jose now for me. The way he has dealt with these last 6 months is testament to his character.
Hopefully we get the signings right over the next 12 months, and we can see him taking it to City and Liverpool, because if anyone can compete with them, its Tuchel who clearly has the appetite to fight for everything.

gruda1905 reacted to Blue2 in Raphinha to ChelseaIf they owe just one player 17m, I really would like to know how much they owe their whole squad in delayed salaries. I think that I read somewhere that they still owe Messi a huge amount of money too and he left a year ago. It seems a realistic estimation that they still owe their players clear upwards of 100m€ from the covid seasons.
With that in mind and the fact that they have problems with player registrations according to the LaLiga salarie cap, based on their financial situation, it seems absolutely bizarre that Barca tries to sign several players for premium prices, even when there is not even a direct necessity based on their squad situation.
Why do they need Raphinha for 60m?
If they are succesful in signing Dembele on a new contract, what it looks like, they have Ferran Torres whose main position was RA before Barca signed him for 50m just this January, eventhough he can play anywhere in offense. Aside of that they still have Trincao on the books whose main position is RA/RW, plus Collado, Dest and Abde can play this position too, even Aubameyang has experience playing this position. They have options without him.
The same question could be asked about Lewandowski.
For CF they have Aubameyang (who they just signed in January and he hasn't performed badly for them), Depay, Braithwhaite and Ferran Torres, these options aren't bad, but they want to sign Lewandowski for 50m(+ rumoured wages of 30m a season) who is 34 come August(no resale value) and has just one year left on his current contract.
Are prestige transfers really that valuable from a marketing point of view, that a club with such a precarious financial situation would try such a transfer?
With Kounde it's the same.
Kounde is primary a RCB and at Barcelona with Lenglet gone, all of their CBs besides Umtiti, whose knees are reported to be shot, are primary rightsided if they play in their normal 4-3-3 system at Barcelona. They extended Araujo, signed Christensen on a free, still have Pique on their books, plus Garcia and Mingueza, but somehow they want another rightsided CB who would cost them 60m+, when they actually need a leftsided CB.
With Azpi and Alonso included who they want from us, they probably negotiate transfers worth 200m just on fees alone right now and I agree that it seems absolutely crazy that this is possible without any regulatory entity investigating them, if there is not some kind of corruption and favoritism involved.
Even if they could somehow realize these transfers, like it is said they would have to get many players off their books before they can even registrate them to play and with their situation in mind, why should players who are probably still owed millions have any interest in leaving without getting paid what they are legally entitled to?
With the way they act, it would definitely be nice to see them getting hit with some kind of sanction.

gruda1905 reacted to Sexyfootball in BlueCo buy Chelsea FCSurely quite smart to try and offload a number of players who haven't performed to expectations, and that most of us have been complaining about ever since they arrived ?
It instantly sets the standard and raises the bar for those that remain, or are new arrivals ... a very positive move in my book.

gruda1905 reacted to evissy in Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea - and gone again!I would love to see him go no matter the money. I want all weak personalities out asap.
-
gruda1905 reacted to HazardousChoice in Gabriel JesusTbf we regularly start Pulisic who has been embarrassingly bad his entire career aside from 1 month. Lukaku who has embarrassed himself in pretty much every single big game in his career over the last decade and Ziyech who has never performed in a top European league.
When it comes to attacking talent I genuinely don't think we have a team of very good players at all.
Does anyone really think any of those guys would perform any better at other top clubs?
For the money we've spent we've assembled an extremely poor set of attacking options and aside from Havertz and Mount if you group him in with the forwards I'd swap all of them for Jesus.
-
gruda1905 reacted to dansubrosa in Gabriel JesusI’m on the same boat as you. He is exactly what we need, hell I’d rather have him over Darwin Nunez.
Players like Nunez and Werner thrive on space, I’ve seen Nunez being compared to prime Torres, who thrived on space as well.
We don’t get space at all with our play style so Jesus is exactly what we need. I can’t believe people can’t see that.
