  1. ...on a very bad day.
  2. Well said Clubhappy. I agree with every word. I'd add that I hate that w*nker Delaney as well and would love to see him go. I've known Fran Rooney for years through football and the stories I've heard of the snakelike Delaney you wouldn't believe. The Staunton interview was full of gems like "San Marino are going to be a handful as the competition progresses". Yes Steve, a handful of sh*t. Incidentally did every Irish Chelsea fan discover Chelsea in 1970? That FA cup final must have made a huge impression. I know a lot of people my age (42) who are Leeds fans. They're well pissed off now.
  3. Marcello Lippi does do an excellent John Virgo. The rest is rubbish.
  4. They love Scholes alright. Every time he hacks at someone they speak about it in indulgent tones along the lines that he doesn't really mean it as he just can't tackle. Of course he does mean it as Roy Keane alluded to when he was on the Sky panel this season. Roy informed a shocked Dick Keyes that Scholsey was "nasty", something Keane liked about him. Dick tried to laugh it off as some kind of joke. Keane has yet to be asked back.
  5. It's amazing he didn't know that Ferguson had managed Scotland. Nicely done Loz.
  6. Much more importantly which one of those lovely ladies is you?
  7. Born on the Bayou, Fortunate Son, Keep on Chooglin' - what a voice this man had.
  8. Could this be Molly? Or this?
  9. Imagine that, and on a Chelsea forum of all places. I f***ing hate you too by the way.
  10. You've gone too far now hahaha why not?...he can run with the ball you've seen him, hes 1000 times better going forward than defending, why shouldnt he forget about defending and just focus on going forward... I think you missed what I did there with the sneaky, in no way juvenile, insertion of the word "brown".

The comment on Geremi, with his 17 brothers and sisters, never having enjoyed so much space, was funny. And fall over he did. I'm still worried about him. Why didn't he show the defender a clean pair of heels instead of leaning into him trying to draw the foul?
  13. They also made him Man of the Match and called him a class act but we won't let the facts get in the way of a good story. Great to see Sheva play like Sheva tonight.

You've seen a lot of him Pauly over the years. How does he look to you in general at the moment compared to what you've seen? I mean in terms of his movement, sharpness and general demeanor on the pitch.

You could be right Elliot. But it doesn't look that way to me. Sheva's not performing alright, but from his demeanor it seems to bother him a lot that he isn't. He doesn't look sullen to me, just worried and confused. As I've said many times it looks as if his sharpness has deserted him, his pacev over the first few yards. I feel he's being scapegoated by Mourinho in his childish attempts to punish Abramovich. Even if we're both wrong this kind of display for public consumption is totally unnecessary but typical Mourinho.

Have you seen this photograph? http://editorial.gettyimages.com/source ... 1746&cdi=0 Don't like the look of that one bit. Apparently Mourinho shook every other player's hand. He really is a small man. ::
  17. These premiership players are so cossetted, it's like they are sitting on thrones. They have no idea of the everyday realities which bog the rest of us down.
  18. I was disappointed as it appeared that we conceded the first header to The Freak in the hope of winning the second ball. He's not that good - in fact his flick on for the first goal he nearly missed the ball completely. Also a poxy day was nicely rounded by Linekar on MOTD. In their caption "ridiculous to the sublime" it was obvious the ridiculous was our comedy free kick. The sublime? "A player at the very top of his game" smouldered Linekar, his voice trembling, as a clip of Stevens deflecting the ball in the direction of the box was played.
  19. Wow. You guys are on a roll.
  20. On a point of information Valerie Mrs Yorkleyblue is using the Present Perfect tense there, which is a present tense, and means from the past up to now. While undoubtedly wistful, the expression "we've had some wonderful times", does not preclude the possibilty of further wonderful times in the Yorkleyblue household. I knew you'd want me to point that out.
  21. If we win, we'll win the league. So it's pretty important for us. That alone should see us through.
