For those too young to remember ever seeing this or even heard it before , this is the song that reached cult status amongst myself and my friends when we were about 14. Its also the clip that had my entire family rolling around the living room with laughter at first glance. So the question remains , is this the worst ever song recorded ?, is it up there with Rene and Renato , Joe Dolche , Mr Blobby ?

Personally i think its a classic :)

Cheers for that Clubhappy - another hideous night without sleep (Miss Mini Loz sick again) and so a good chuckle was much called for.

It has made me think about what I would classify as a truly dreadful song from my younger years (call it the 80s as I was out of the country until 1983).

Now I decided not to include things like Jive Bunny and the whole Stock, Aitken Waterman crowd as I wanted to restrict it to actual bands/artisits that wrote their own stuff (or at least claimed to - you never really know) and I have only gone for songs that were actually popular at the time.

I have managed to narrow it down to 3 (in no particular order).

1. The horror that was Billy Ray Cyrus

2. Starship's 'We Built This City' - this one made me violent

3. Middle class Ghetto slummer Vanilla Ice - shameful to see so many teenagers actually learning the moves to this! (to be classified as a poor MC Hammer speaks volumes)

Any list of worst songs ever would have to include "There's No One Quite Like Grandma" by St.Winifred's School Choir, which topped the charts in 1980.

My Christmas present to you all, is not posting a link for it icon_lol.gif

Vanilla Ice eh ? the 1st ever white rapper to have a US number 1 and look what happened after that . Absolutely terrible song and still to this day i cant see how people could actually dance to it . It hardly lifts the roof off now does it .

Bon Jovi , if there was ever an overplayed song it has to be that one .

I kinda dig Ice Ice Baby, though it is a fairly annoying song. Jim Carey does it better icon_wink.gif

Jilted John was a good laugh. The bloke who made that was John Shuttleworth who's still around today doing TV and radio stuff.

Merry Christmas everyone. I'm off abroad on Christmas morning - hope I return to find us sitting pretty.

honestly if Mcartney hadn't been in the beatles I think i would hate him!

He wrote some brilliant stuff with the Beatles, but he hasn't half churned out some utter sh*te since. The Frog Chorus, Mull of Kintyre, Ebony and Ivory...

I've considered all your entries and none of them come remotely close to this.

Conclusive proof, (as if it were ever needed), that Mr Christopher "I hate Chelsea" Waddle.......................... is a prize knob.
