Skins
I really hope you're not relying a lot of your knowledge on Skins, a fantastical "drama" about Sixth Formers. It's farcical. Series 1 and 2 were excellent, series 3 and 4 were okay, Cook was unbelievable, but this new series is abysmal, some of the worst acting I've seen in a long time.

Fee agreed for Fernando Torres
Everyone still seems to be shocked that he's ours - I still am too! I don't think it'll properly set in until we actually see him on the pitch on Sunday, but I do have a feeling we'll still be stunned even after the match. It's unbelievable.

We need to loan out Kalou
Looking ahead a few years (and I mean a few): ------------------------------Cech ---Ivanovic--------Alex-------------Luiz------PVA ---------------------------Mikel -------------Ramires---------------Josh ---------Studge----------------------Kalou --------------------------Torres I quite like the look of that.

Scouse reaction
That's shocking. When fans say the history crap it's funny because they're scratching the bottom of the barrell, when someone like him says it, in the public eye, it's downright sad. We may not have such a "sparkling" history as Liverpool do yet, but we will, and I doubt we'll ever have to rely on our bloody history to try and keep us as one of the "big clubs", even now Liverpool have fallen to mid table mediocrity.

True, but we'll still have the game in hand, and be within 2 points, if we win.

Xpert Eleven Thread 4
Have just seen on the home page that I'm #1 in the top managers in Wales this week. I'll announce my retirement shortly.

But surely "using the rules to your best advantage" is also known as abusing them? Yes he was clever to do so, but he was on the line, his country about an inch away from going out of the World Cup, so he purposely stops the ball with his hand, conceding the penalty with a chance to stay in the tournament. I understand that it is a bit of a gray area, and it is incredibly difficult to judge, but I see it as cheating, simply because it actually stopped a sure-fire goal. When a defender is the last man, he stops a clear goal scoring OPPORTUNITY because the keeper is still in goal and there is a chance that the keeper will save it, so that isn't cheating, it's simply avoiding the opportunity for them to score by sacrificing yourself. When it's an open goal, however, that's a different story (for me anyway). It is quite an interesting arguement though, I have to admit. When does a simple foul immediately become cheating?

Lofty's Wall of Sound - What are you listening to?
- Gary Neville retires
I heard that! I couldn't believe what they said, he was mediocre at best. I never liked him, yes he was insanely passionate, but that doesn't stop him from being a prick.- Fee agreed for Fernando Torres
Sunday is going to be the biggest game of the season. Not title wise, it's just an absolutely enormous match. Torres' debut, Joe Cole returning to the Bridge. I'm getting excited already!- David Luiz
Carlo said in his post-match interview that Luiz can play on Sunday, but whether he'll start wasn't said. My guess is he'll warm the bench for a little while, coming on in place of Bosingwa to sure up our defence and move Ivan to RB (although Luiz can play anywhere in the back 4, so he may just go in like for like, we'll see).- Favourite Chelsea FC Pictures
Beat me to it! It's so intense!! A few from more recent seasons for me: Love that last one. What a moment.- Chelsea v Liverpool (PL) 6/2/2011 KO 16:00 GMT
I'm just remembering from last season when Lamps didn't appreciate the diamond at all, it didn't suit him one bit. I know he's Super Frank, but Malouda could give more creativity, skill and speed to the midfield.- Chelsea v Liverpool (PL) 6/2/2011 KO 16:00 GMT
Yes please. Essien at the base of the diamond. Worth putting Malouda on the left of the diamond, Ramires on the right, dropping Lamps to the bench?- MOTM vs Sunderland
Anelka was fantastic. I'm normally the first to criticize him, but he was superb. His run that lead to Kalou hitting both posts was nothing short of sensational. More of the same Nico!- Fee agreed for Fernando Torres
EEEE, I'm so excited >< To be fair, he was never NOT going to be #9, but I really really can't wait to see him don the blue. Side note: Considering we're playing SUNDERLAND tonight up North where it's always COLD, Torres will more than likely wear a long sleeve shirt...what shirt has just been printed? Hmmmmmm....- Fee agreed for Fernando Torres
4th biggest transfer of all time, behind Kaka, Ibrahimovic and Ronaldo. Blimey!- David Luiz
I find this whole thing completely surreal. I'm still struggling to properly believe everything. Torres and David Luiz. It's better than I'd ever imagined. I don't think Luiz will feature tomorrow, possibly make the bench for Sunday though. Torres could well come off the bench tomorrow though, give him a cameo.- David Luiz
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Best. Deadline Day. Ever. EDIT: He's on a 5 and a half year contract too!! That's the way I like it, thinking way way ahead :)- Fee agreed for Fernando Torres
This is amazing. I love that we signed Torres and Luiz. Here's hoping Drogs and Torres rip Liverpool to shreds on Sunday, Luiz making a cameo appearance in the final 20 minutes to make an Alex-esque thunder bolt. I hope.- Fee agreed for Fernando Torres
YEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS- Fee agreed for Fernando Torres
Agreed! I'm not jumping for joy physically just yet, I need proper confirmation!- Fee agreed for Fernando Torres
It's quite a long name. F...e....r...n...- Fee agreed for Fernando Torres
Why would it be? They've agreed a fee with Newcastle for him, we've agreed a fee with them for Torres, it'd be insane if it gets stopped because Liverpool couldn't hold up their end of the Carroll deal. - Gary Neville retires
